Love these resort spotlights. I couldnt imagine staying off site and missing out on these WDW resorts
BCV is our DVC home and we absolutely adore it. We bought for Stormalong Bay, but have found what we love most is the short walks to EPCOT and HS as well as proximity to all the restaurants in the Crescent Lake area.
The statement about how some DVC folks don't know about the crescent area is so true! We recently met a couple who had been DVC for 15 years and we mentioned boardwalk being one of our home resorts and they were slightly confused to where it was located 😮
BCV is one of my three properties that I own. And it is the only one I would not even consider renting out. It is mine, all MINE! To me and my family - this is the flagship resort. To me, the only drawbacks are a weak bar "Marthas Vineyard" ; the Marketplace needs a refresh, and until recently the rooms were a bit shabby. I agree with all the positives - location to two theme parks, crescent lake is better than seven seas lagoon, skyline access,walkabity, boat rides and the pool.
We are members at Disney Beach Club Villas since 2002 and we’ve only been able to stay at the resort twice in the past 20 years. We chose this resort for its location, previously we stayed at exclusively at Disney’s Yacht Club.
Stormalong Bay is nice to look at and use, but it has never prevented us from going to the theme parks. There is relaxation time and there is park time…and because Epcot is right there, there’s time for both.
Enjoyed the show very much, this year we'll celebrate 20 years as dvc members with beach club as our home resort.
I love Boardwalk because of “ Cape May “.
Thanks for videos. Enjoy the conversation, We r DVC members with our home resort the Beach Club. We are guests who do not like storm along pool- the sand difficult to walk in and too crowded. We enjoy the quiet DVC pool. Our room choice is facing Epcot woods - highest floor. We were disappointed on the last trip - Beach Club could not accommodate us. Agree Beach Club is too small. Beaches and Cream very noisy with the remodel- enjoy the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Need to buy more points!
Info and convo is always great, bump it next level with some B roll at each resort.
I enjoy the spotlights of the DVC resorts as well as the friendly chatter among the panel. It gives DVC the warm welcome feeling!👍🏻❤️

We have only stayed at the Beach Club twice and I was surprised to be able to get a reservation as it is not our home resort. You are right about the views! The first stay we had a view of the roadway and could sit on the balcony watching the cars and buses going by. Bummer. And the most recent stay was in February and we were on the ground floor not far from the pool with nothing but the walkway outside of our door, a constant stream of people walking by, and a teeny tiny concrete pad. Like someone else mentioned the rooms are forgettable, comfortable, but forgettable! We do love the proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and like Amy said, I try to avoid buses as much as I can too! Good show and I love these DVC spotlight episodes.
Great video folks! That said, we stayed there 4-5 years ago, and while the exterior and lobby are beautiful, the room was "meh". It looked like a very nice hotel room. There was nothing to it that had us thinking we were staying at a beach resort. If there has been a refurb since then that has changed it, then it might be something we would look to stay at again. Otherwise, it is our least favorite resort (yes taking into account being close to walk to Epcot/DHS).
My family fell in love with Beach Club recently. I'm consistently doing the math to try to make a 100ish point resale contract make sense for my finances. Best spot on property, IMO.
Prior to buying into DVC four years ago, we always stayed at the Yacht Club. We adore that area. However we chose Copper Creek to purchase because we wanted a longer contract, but oh how I miss the Crescent Lake area. Whenever we go over there for dining or just to wander around I am so tempted to pick up a resale contract. If DVC did build something at the Yacht Club I would be falling all over myself to give them my money. Until then, I guess I'll just keep trying to get in at 7 months, but so far we've had no luck. Who knows, with resale prices dropping maybe BCV will finally get cheap enough to finally convince me to buy a 2042 resort!

When hanging out at Storm Along Bay, a waitress walked up to us and took our drink/food order. She said that SAB is the only pool on disney property that has this pool service. We weren't in a cabana either so I was confused....but it was really nice!
We love Cape May NJ. Still one of our vacation spots!
My first Disney DVC stay was Beach Club. Many visits since.
Pros:
Location-everything they mentioned is true.
Interior is fantastic
That first view you get walking out to Crescent Lake is amazing with view of the Boardwalk and the Friendship boats. I miss the ESPN Club marquee at night
If active person, great spot to run in morning around the lake.
Cons
No views but if you are higher up and further down the hall the quiet pool side is not terrible. The woods side used to allow me to listen to bands in UK.
The shopping is terrible. Not a lot of merch and the store is small.
I have had good food at Martha Vineyard but I do not like the decor.
I miss the old menu for Crews Cup lounge in YC.
Sharing buses. Depending on park or Springs and time of day you may be sharing with YC, BW, S&D. So multiple stops.
If you go, and especially if not going to park first day I recommend walking around the lake. Stop by Big River and eat outside with some beer and aps and enjoy the experience.
Staying 3 nights in a 1 Bedroom Villa in July! Can’t wait. Always wanted to stay there!

I think the DVC rooms are so small and dark at Beach. Also love the French Dip Amy you should try the grilled cheese and tomato soup that’s awesome too

Location, Location, Location. We bought here for the location. We are a family of adults (the youngest when we bought was 23 years old with no grandkids). It is a small resort, so finding space on buses to and from MK and AK is much easier. The gondola line at the end of the night is insane, and a cast member always reminds folks at closing that it is a one-way ride. This means you will be stranded if you need to transfer to a boat, bus, or another gondola to make it to your hotel. They stop running if there is any bad weather (it is FL, so that is a given). Park hopping is easier at BCV. EPCOT is an easy, quick hop for a French bakery goody in the morning or an end-of-evening drink/snack nightcap. My only complaint (and I was there 2 weeks ago Dec 2023) is I DO NOT prefer the bathrooms in the refurbished 1 bedroom villas. A massive tub (unusable) and sink in the Master bedroom bathroom (the is no door to this bathroom. It is a wide open space with a massive tub with no curtain or glass door and 1 sink). The other has the only toilet and shower (with sink). WHY IS THE TOILET NOT IN A WATER CLOSET?????!!!!! If someone is in the shower, man, you are in trouble! The new updated Murphy bed in the living area is fantastic! So comfy! LOVE THIS NEW BED!
My daughter and her friend just arrived last night there. We just bought DVC at the end of December and we were able to get reservations for spring break by stalking the system as you said.
I waitlisted Beach Club twice for the last week of August. The first time was a 1 bedroom and I got it. The second time was a 2 bedroom and I got it as well but unfortunately had to cancel because of Covid closing borders.
We went to the Cape May breakfast before Covid at it was great. Haven’t been back since
Boulder Ridge Villas has 181 rooms vs 282 rooms at Beach Club. BRV is now the smallest at WDW.
Could you please talk about the renovations currently going on at Beach Club and Boardwalk especially the room refurbishments. I'd like to rent points at a Boardwalk Villas 1 bedroom - Standard View which is very economical. However, I just can't do that if Disney doesn't put in Murphy Beds in the Villas. Sorry but I just can't subject an older child (23 years old) or an older friend to a pull-out coach.
The Boardwalk location is great and the standard view rooms are a steal point-wise. However, I'll have to do Saratoga Springs (not withstanding the long bus rides) if the renovations don't include the Murphy beds that other locations (VGF, Riviera, Poly, Boulder Ridge) incorporated. Sorry but the 1 bedrooms at those resorts are too expensive pointwise for my pocketbook. Furthermore, though the studios at those resorts sleep 5, I prefer more space, full kitchen and in- room laundry. Do you have any information on this issue?? BTW, I can wait a couple of years for the rehab.
Just bought Boardwalk, but my fav place on earth is Cape May, NJ ❤!! May consider a small point additional contract at Beach Club:)

I love Stormalong Bay. That sandy bottom is wild. And of course BC is tops because of its walkability to Epcot. I don't like the location of the villas, however. The building is tucked out of the way, far from all the amenities, and the views are awful. The rooms are not great, either. They look like someone's grandmother's house. I'm from New England and no beach resort looks like that LOL. It would be nice if they took some rooms from the hotel side to make into DVC, or convert Yacht Club for more modern rooms and better location.
We didn't really like our beach club stay. We like some of the other resorts better
Beach club villas have the worst balcony views.Having to exit the pool to get on the slide is a weird design. The little mermaid statue is cool and I like the store .
Disney is not going to build another storm along bay because then guests stay poolside and don't spend money, theme park tickets/ shopping.
We are members at Disney Beach Club Villas since 2002 and prior to that we stayed exclusively at Disney’s Yacht Club (since 1991). While the pools are impressive at Stormalong Bay, they never stopped us from visiting the theme parks. You balance time at the pool and in the parks.
The thing that’s deterring visitors to the parks and spending of money on property is the cost. We have done at least five resort only trips and none of them were at Disney Beach Club Villas.
If I’m staying that close to a theme park, I’m not passing up the opportunity to visit.

Probably unpopular opinion but I'm not a fan of synthetic scents. Whatever they use in the lobby makes my nose feel like it's burning inside.
