Lots of Paul Frees voices here. In addition to voicing John Lennon and George Harrison (doing a weird variant of his Peter Lorre impression for the latter), he did many of the incidental male voices. I can spot Frees's voices pretty well after years of hearing him in Disney, MGM, Jay Ward and Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
"I thought the travel agent said Pennsylvania, where all the pencils came from" Man, for being what every person on the show internally thought was a cash-in on (what was thought to be, and well... kind of was) a fad for a quick buck, this has some clever jokes.
Ringo: Honest chaps, I thought the travel agent said Pennsylvania. You know where all the pencils come from. The rest of the Beatles: *staring at Ringo like he has 2 heads* Me: Ha ha very funny Ringo Starr
I'm a big Beatles fan, and I have to say these cartoons are awful. I suppose they're a bit endearing, but the animation is very basic, the voices range from adequate to WTF, and Ringo always comes across as though he's a complete idiot. Apparently the Beatles were reluctant to be involved with "Yellow Submarine" cause they thought it would be similar to this sort of crap. Imagine their surprise when they found out it was actually very innovative and made good use of their music!
@@urgemore I’m 62 and didn’t really get interested in the Beatles until my high school years. Even though they’re my favorite band, I can admit they weren’t flawless with some projects not living up to their generally high standards. But they apparently didn’t have anything to do with these cartoons, so it’s easy for us to dismiss them. It’s just “insert band into nonsensical situations and cut to commercial.” I’d rather watch “Josie and the Pussycats”!
Very good job dudes and nicely well done!! Congratulations 998.28% yo throughout the 3rd sizzling patriotic hot week of said outstanding October y'all. Wonderful cartoons.
Why is it that rock and roll kid shows of this era, combine music with a chase scene? It seems like a good topic for scholarship because something is going on.
Because it worked in the opening credits of A Hard Day's Night. Will my Nobel Prize arrive by mail, or do I need to swing by Stockholm and pick it up in person?
I’m not a fan of the dubbed music. The original would play the original music. This one is playing inserts of concert music in some, some are recent or more recent than 1965 airing.

Boris Badenoff.
@@Bobbyboy-i3z, yep, and Professor Ludwig Von Drake!
I remember thinking they were the actual Beetles voices and arguing with my older brother about it.
@@ZakWolf And Toucan Sam and The Pillsbury Doughboy.
@@Bobbyboy-i3zFrees' George sounds a little like Morocco Mole
My goodness, that brings back some childhood memories!
The voices are spot on. Uncanny. I mean, even with my eyes closed I can tell which is which. I always knew Ringo was from Birmingham.
😂😂
And Scandinavian George. Spot on
John and George sound like Paul Frees, to me.
They missed the boat on John and George sounds too much like Peter Lorre ......IMO
Paul Frese from the Haunted Mansion did the voices! Also the Pillsbury doughboy and toucan Sam! Legend
@14:56 John: "'Chamber of horrors: all the most horrible murders of history.' Well, let's see if there's anybody we know! :D"
Not yet 💀
i remember watching like half of this show on youtube back when it still had the original music

"Once she gets to know you, she gets under your skin".......That was a good line.
Geez, I'd forgotten how many commercial breaks there were back then.
I like how they added ringo’s rings in this one
I guess that's why his stage name is Ringo Starr
prob my favorite episode 🥲❤️❤️
These cartoons had more wit and inspiration than given credit for. Funny stuff
I love this show
Due to licensing issues, the vocals on Chains, was omitted.
"Foolish mortals..."
Ringo: Honest chaps, I thought the travel agent said Pennsylvania. You know where all the pencils come from.
The rest of the Beatles: *staring at Ringo like he has 2 heads*
Me: Ha ha very funny Ringo Starr
The same lyrical omission occurs on the song Misery due to licensing restrictions.
They should put that on MeTV Toons
They already remove music for copyright reasons don't think it'll bappen
I'll Get You, flip side of She Loves You on Swan Records.

Who else discovered this cartoon while searching for Beatles videos after watching “Beatles ‘64”?
It would be interesting with today’s technology to add their voices to these episodes.
Yeah!
@@ashbell1046 Yeah! Yeah!

I'm 61. When this was on TV I so wanted to like it, but it just wasn't engaging or artistically appealing to me even then.

Blame it on Al Brodax and his penchant for limited animation
An a bing bing an a boom boom love..
Anyone recognize the voice of the narrator (and also the mad scientist) as the voice of the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland? It is.

Gotta be BBC versions of I'll Get You and Misery. 🤔
Copyrights of songs.

You haven't seen many '60s and '70s Sat. morning cartoons, have you.
Needed someone to say Frau Blucher 😅
Different take on Misery. No piano.
Live version music…interesting…then instrumentals…bloody copyright panic thanks to google
Eastman color. Imagine that.
So that's where it all started with Linda !
