@@alexyoungberg5232 Oh the back looks good as well. As of recent memory all of the other previous generation except for the 996 looked similar. This generation Porsche is very distinctive.
The 911 is timeless. The new Cabrio design is tight! If you’ve never driven a 911 you owe it to yourself. I had a ‘99 rwd coupe for several years, only 300hp but seems like 400hp. You can pick up a great used one for under $40k.
I think a good option in a cabriolet would be an in cabin U.V. monitoring system that would alert the driver when the U.V. index reached a designated level. I like cabriolets, but after a skin cancer incident, they're off my buy list.
Hat off to the narrative writer from this channel. The wordings are just beautiful and I can feel the passion for automobiles and driving pleasure from it !!! You guys deserved a big pay raise !!! :)))
If you want to buy one off lease, look at autotrader with bay area zip codes. 1700 a month isn't much for the bay area crew and these do depreciate somewhat after a lease (nothing like a BMW ) but it is amazing that Porsche can sell their entire lineup as fast as they can make them
I am glad they did not slap some fugly screen on the dash like so many lazy car companies do now. I like the layout without all of the buttons around the shifter. That shifter looks stupid. Might as well just make it a push button and get rid of it all together. But...I am just not a fan of the rear end. It looks too big. The tail lights look too small and that 3rd brake light in the intake is blah. I just do not like the exterior styling of these cars.
3:40 "Steering is not quite as communicative as it could be..." oh really? So let me understand this, Porsche got the steering wrong according to Motor Trend. I don't think so buddy.
SCOTT FLYNN I stand by my comment bru ask any track racer Porsche won’t stand a chance or better yet go watch the videos on the norsdcheifle and you’ll see what I mean 911 can’t keep up with Miata’s
The same presenter 30 yrs later
Now that’s consistency
That's what I was thinking and I love it this guy is great
Make that 40 next year, and he's well into his 70s!
John gets the 911 award for consistent performance ha
Yes John is still a great host and narrator for the road and comparison tests on this show
It's a beautiful car as always, it's pure class and elegance. I love the front headlights.
What about the back headlights..?
@@alexyoungberg5232 Oh the back looks good as well. As of recent memory all of the other previous generation except for the 996 looked similar. This generation Porsche is very distinctive.
John is my home sick therapy. Been watching since the 80's.
I was just thinking the same thing.
It is very beautiful, I love the aventurine exterior color and the interior color. 😎

I’ve saw 99’s under $10k. Higher miles and whatnot, but still. Even a nice one can be had under $20k
Still wish they would offer the classic 5-spoke Fuchs wheels as a retro-look option...
They do a modern version of it - the Carrera Exclusive wheels.
Superb design. I’ve alway said a cabriolet should look as good with the up as it does down. Well done!

Man, the 911 is getting BIG.

I want this in a manual and red. To go with my current 996tt speed yellow cab 😍
Porsche sure know's how to build beautiful sports car's❤🥰👍
This 911 is friggin’ massive. Look at the size of it in comparison to something like a 997. It’s simply astounding.
My first thought when I saw it on the slalom was "wow, that thing's huge." It's got to be bigger than my old 928 was.
D B Uh, I dunno what you’re on about but a Porsche 991 Turbo new costs the same as a Ferrari 488 GTB new.
D B What difference does it make?
1/4 mile time and trap speed please
Does Porsche run any 0% 84 mos deals??..LOL Only computes to $1604/mo
Lol, wouldn't that be nice.
@sanju2 Good guess it won't be in your driveway...peasant.

Lc 500 convertible looks better but this looks good
That colour scheme makes it look straight out of the 70s.
Was this filmed in the 90’s?
That rear spoiler looks like the trunk popped open
John looking a lil orangish here...
So what? He still sounds great
That’s why I laughed when he said sunshine.
Gorgeous 😍
No 1/4?

One 7 Decimal 2 Eight ; Buy the coupe with the standard trans. It's probably a lot cheaper.
@@cobracharmer6178 coupes are the same ugly rear. And yes I would only buy the standard. Pdk is awesome but gets boring after 10 minutes.
no quarter mile time?
With a 3.4 zero to 60 time, I would expect 11:50's in the quarter mile.
Hey Porsche, Geordi La Forge wants his visor back. You can't use it for the back of 911's anymore. He's blind without it.
Upgrade to 4K cameras. All your videos are so grainy
A good car, but I'd rather see tests with affordable ones.
Mens Sana In Corpore Sano MW covers all makes and models
Buy a c8 Corvette when they become available!
The Comet from GTA Vice City, design from Rockstar games
If I become invisible I'd pick this car. Let's see who catch the reference
Heh. He said sunshine.
"Go fast therapy"

1/4 mile time
Frugal minded only 111 lol!
🤬 no 1/4 mile time?? WTF
Porsche 911 type wonderful Convertible more wonderful......
You will never see this color combination again.
Ray Nash That green is surprisingly nice.
@mohawk5010
I would love to see it in person.
I may have to call my local dealer.
Thanks for your reply!
Mazda Miata RF faster than this on the esses enough said and you can invest the money saved in Porsche stock
Wait a minute are you comparing a miata to a 911? Dont get me wrong the miata is a track legend but let's get real here lol
SCOTT FLYNN I stand by my comment bru ask any track racer Porsche won’t stand a chance or better yet go watch the videos on the norsdcheifle and you’ll see what I mean 911 can’t keep up with Miata’s
waltervila33 my stock 1994 civic automatic could smoke any 911 any day
Jacob T I don’t know about that that’s a tall order
4:00 this car.... last name is traction...
@0:09 That's a lot of money to pay for otherwise free sun shine.
Wow
The 911 died with the 997.2.
