I’m crying from nostalgia. I’d be too excited to sleep the night before a school field trip/family day there. The drives there in the early mornings were so exciting. I hope covid clears up so I can relive these memories. The energy really seems to change once you step into the park
SFNE is definitely one of the top 3 Six Flags parks. I'd like to see a major expansion to the park in the next few years. As long as it's not a kiddy section
That addition to SFNE wont happen,if the park dont buy more property near the park and the people who live next to six flags new England wont sell their land to the park .. I know this because o used to work there in 1999 when it was Riverside Park
I remember this park being relatively small compared to Six Flags Great Adventure…we got in on a Friday early May and did most of the rides by 4 PM. Good time.
Although the park is advertised as being 235 acres, much of that is the wetlands down by the picnic grove. The midway sections are all fairly narrow dead-ends. But even though it's one of the smaller parks in the chain, it's also one of the higher grossing ones.
In my opinion, SFNE has TWO kids sections, and I don't think they need whistlestop park. You could *probably* throw in a smaller launched coaster like full throttle. It's just sad to see that space go to waste though. There's a waterpark if kids want to get wet, and you could go to either of the two kids sections.
Great walk through, Jay! I've been to SFNE multiple times, but this video basically helped me memorize the entire layout. My friends are I are probably gonna try to ride Goliath first when we go in 2 weeks.
Thank you SO MUCH for this!!! I was a season pass holder for most of my teen/young adult life and haven’t been able to go since maybe 2005, give or take. I remember waiting in line for Superman for two HOURS for that 60 second ride!! And we would come off and get right back in line!! I even remember the old petting zoo that used to be there...I think in the area of the old musik express but not sure. Miss those days so much! I really appreciate this!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Another brilliant video, I really enjoy watching your park tours as I'm a massive theme park fan. I live in the UK so it's nice to see these sorts of parks. Keep up the good work 😃
I really enjoy your walkthrough videos. It is a great resource for travel planning. Do you think you will be visiting knobles in Pennsylvania to make a walk through video?
Oh yeah, that's right! I totally completely forgot that Supermam used to be "Bizarro" back then: a long time ago! Which brings me nostalgic childhood memories! Feels like middle school again right now, 7th or 8th grade!
Thanks. Yeah, I definitely would like to make one of Knoebels, which is probably my favorite park. The only problem with doing a walk-thru there is that there isn't a conventional midway. It's layout is basically just a series of paths winding through a forested area. I've been thinking of how I could do its walk-thru in a coherent manner and haven't figured it out yet.
They just couldn’t maintain the original Cyclone properly. As for the Sky Ride, I’m not sure. It followed their trend of removing less thrilling family rides. Perhaps it too was proving too difficult to maintain.
You're referring to Nightwing, which was installed next to Superman: Ride of Steel when that section of the park opened. It was removed a few seasons ago and was replaced by a themed Trabant. I heard Nightwing had a lot of maintenance issues.
In the beginning of the video the sky is blue, the sun is out...yet there's barely any cars in the parking lot. That means that this guy recording must've been there EARLY in the day but how is that possible if it's clear as day out?
I usually get there about 9:30. The park opens at 10:00, and all the rides are operating by noon. But the earlier you're there, the more likely you are to beat the crowds to the popular rides.
what would be the crowd levels like end of august would i need to buy the flash pass we are coming from the uk so another visit would be out of the question
If the weather's nice, the park will usually be mobbed. But most guests will stay in the water park until late afternoon. So get your major rides in early. A Flash Pass isn't a bad idea. If Bizarro is crowded, the wait could be several hours. Have a great time!
Leave it to Six Flags to take a classic, historic park and turn it into just another generic franchise park. This could literally be any other park in the Six Flags chain. Even the theming is identical to that found in many of their other parks. Don't get me wrong, I love going to SF parks for their great rides, but they have no charm or character whatsoever.
I worked at the park when it was Riverside, and I'm generally okay with what Six Flags did to it. Superman (Bizarro in this video) is truly the greatest steel coaster ever built. And now Wicked Cyclone is the best ride in the park. But in their quest for more and more thrill rides, the park has forgotten to give families something to do together. They have either kiddie rides or teen thrill rides, with very little in between. That's my biggest gripe. Oh -- and shade. There's almost no shade. Rather than buy more rides, the park should plant trees on the midway.
Like I said, I don't fault Six Flags for their rides. Their big ticket rides are incredible. The problem I have is that all of their parks now basically look the same. It wasn't that way in the past, but over the years they've become more and more franchise-oriented and the parks have lost their individual character. I guess that's fine for local park goers who only ever see the park nearest them, but as a park enthusiast I want a different experience at each park. I guess it's just a symptom of our increasingly homogenized culture. And you're right, their parks that have opened since the 1990's have very poor shade. They're like a massive sea of concrete.
IceEagleProductions If it weren't for the lousy train modifications and unnecessary scenery, Bizarro would be the better ride. In fact, if Six Flags had left it alone as Superman: Ride of Steel, it would still be the best ride in the park. But given Bizarro's current state, I think Wicked Cyclone is a bit better.
They removed the Nightwing next to the super man coaster for a piece of crap trebant???????????? Who the hell wants a bunch of gift shops and rides you can go on for 3 tickets at the local carnival. Expensive or not to maintain the park was so much better 13 years ago
In fairness to the park, Nightwing was a maintenance nightmare for them. It was only a matter of time. But I agree, they could have found a more unique ride than a stock Trabant.
With the exception of the roller coasters, very little has changed. I don't understand what they're thinking with the park layout; there are so many dead ends that could, with a bit of work, be tied together. They should have rethought Riverside's layout after they bought it, and before they began choking the midway with giant rides. I also think the park needs to bring in more true family rides. (Sorry, Six Flags -- the teacups are a thrill ride!) And for the love of God, plant some trees!

Fireball is there now. it used to be a ride called Twister, i think. it went up in the air and flipped over.

You should visit Hersheypark! It's an awesome place with quite possibly the best steel coaster north of VA!
Storm Runner!
Well I was thinking of Skyrush..
This Was Great. I Learned a Lot. Is The Sky Ride Gone ?
Mike P Yup, it's gone and the station is boarded up. But the towers are still there (for now).
Wheres log jam in the canyon? Was it there Jay? Didt see it in video ?
What log jam?
Why did they get rid of the wooden cyclone and the sky ride
They just couldn’t maintain the original Cyclone properly. As for the Sky Ride, I’m not sure. It followed their trend of removing less thrilling family rides. Perhaps it too was proving too difficult to maintain.
It seems like it looks so tiny but maybe Im wrong I've never went here
Show the block party at 4:00
i come here every week and go on everything and i live 10 minutesx away
Luckyyy
i live like an hour away lol
So it's not called superman ride of steel anymore?
They’re currently calling it just Superman the Ride.
I think SFOG has the same exact wave swinger - Crime Wave.
Anthony Martinez yep.
What happened to that Enterprise ride they had you rode it lying down?
You're referring to Nightwing, which was installed next to Superman: Ride of Steel when that section of the park opened. It was removed a few seasons ago and was replaced by a themed Trabant. I heard Nightwing had a lot of maintenance issues.

Mind Eraser is Riddler Revenge now. its green and yellow 0.o
What time did you arrive at six flags I want to know what time to leave this year Thank you!
I usually get there about 9:30. The park opens at 10:00, and all the rides are operating by noon. But the earlier you're there, the more likely you are to beat the crowds to the popular rides.
you should film in the justice League the next time you go in it
I plan to.

Bizzaro/superman has about a 2 hour wait most of the time, flash pass is recommended, it really helps
hall of justice is not a dark ride i think its a meet and greet for dc heros
He clarified that in the description

In your opinion, is Bizarro or Wicked Cyclone better?
Also, could you do a GAdv walkthrough?
