Man I missed that futuristic vibe late 90s and early 2000s tech had. I wish that aesthetic would come back, it had so much character. This track transports me back to that time period and I love it.

The futuristic vibe you describe is actually an optimistic/utopian vision that exists from the 50s to the mid-90s.
After the movie matrix + all the events that take place nowadays, the vision of the future is now anchored in a permanent anguish.
Let's hope that mankind one day recovers an optimistic vision of technology and therefore of the future.

It’s a weird one and sometimes hard to pigeon hole. But I would say it’s a line between Breakcore and Ambient Jungle (just because of the emphasis on the drumbreaks, they’re also not clean and heavily quantised)
I would love to start coining the term VapourBreaks though 💪
