I have never done much good in the area you were fishing in. I had way more luck on the down side of Nickajack dam, sitting in slack water throwing out in the fast water. Whole bream with a few scales scrapped off one side. There is some good fishing inside the old lock also. I always fish with Kahle hooks, I never set the hook, just let it load the rod and go to reeling.
@@scottgray7492 I was in able t find any skips so I had plenty on blue gill and gizzards shad but the blue gill out preferred over all on this particular trip. But I like a variety.
@@ShiningLightFishing look up Randal Puckett when you go back he can likely assist with bait. My next trip to Nickajack will be september 3rd-6th. I havent had a trip there yet without catching 40 plus lb blues it really is my favorite place to fish.

My favorite place to fish. You prefer bluegille over skipjack for bait or are you just using whats easier to catch?

@@scottgray7492 the night video that I put out has a 63 pound flat head it was the same trip check it out. And thanks
