They didn't break anything, it's fully intentional. They're simply taking advantage of a side effect of using a specific weapon skill. Most of the classes have a trick to get past barriers of this type. Or, one can just throw a pawn over the gate and watch them open it from the other side. This game is built on there being multiple ways of achieving one's goal.
Thief can clear it as well by launching off the walls the door is between or use concussive step with skull splitter together, Mage/Sorc can float over. Warrior/Fighter can launch a pawn over. Sometimes you can just throw your pawn over doors like this too with the basic grab and throw.
Facing 180 degrees the other direction, I was standing on the other corner of the building walls, was doing a few random attacks, and some how broke the barrier on that door from 'behind' while looking for a skip like this lol
😂 this is sort of the same thing that happened to me except my pawn somehow got that back there, I was like what because i sat there looking for a way in for about 12 minutes, and my pawn just somehow got in within seconds
ill try to avoid spoilers as much as possible, but theres one particular quest in a cave where you get separated from your pawns by sliding down an incline. I just used the spearhand dash to just go back up the incline and it ended the quest immediately. skipped some exposition in the process so i had to restart the day and play the quest the normal way. But yeah, of all the traversal skills so far, spearhand has been the most fun and gotten me into the most places i probably shouldnt be
There’s a lot of weird little locked doors like this where there isn’t really like any way to open them that feels intended, so it feels a little like you’ve hacked it no matter what
every locked door ive some across has a solution to get inside that doesn't require cheating like this.... the door on the farmlands outside vernworth can be gotten to from a hidden underground area underneath the bridge... the door from this video can be gotten past by simply waiting until night... skeles will spawn inside and simply get their attention and they will break open the door for you.
Pawns are really bad at this one. Sometimes a mage will shoot lightning through the roof to break it, but most of the times they won't know what to do.
Its not a bug, its a feature. You're supposed to find alternate routes. Thats the point. I used a cyclops that spawned in order to get over a wall that otherwise couldn't once
you think I got this far in the game without realizing the devs intended for you to do stuff like this? there's even a system where pawns will comment something along the lines of "I never would have thought of that solution" after you do something like this.
There is a crack in the wall on the left my pawn shot it with lighting through it XD this is good to know for N+ though thanks love the spearhead zooming around so fun.
or wait till night and have the skeles that spawn inside open the door for you... or simply throw your pawn onto the other side and they will open the door for you as well.
@@arcanumelite4853 Can you actually throw your pawn over? I think I'd have tried it, as I always do, but harpy did the trick for me (couldn't be bothered to switch to thief just for this)
but this is the exact solution Capcom wants you to use. there is literally no other path up there. there are other methods to do it, like mage levitate which is just way easier and simpler than this, but there's many others too
you're literally supposed to get in here using movement techniques. there's no other way in and the walls in front of the door are designed to allow the thief core skill to wall jump repeatedly to get over it.
@@pheothelegend2394 I never even knew skeletons spawned there. One of my pawns just suddenly used levin on it from the outside and I assumed that was what I was supposed to do lmao
If charged it slows down enemies and opens them up to being critical striked (hit an enemy with charged bolt, get close and press triangle/Y) Uncharged is still useful for stunlocking some weak enemies (useful to do to Saurians as you circle around towards their tail). Charged has the added bonus of cancelling certain things that can't be cancelled otherwise (the big square/X multihit move, falling triangle/Y, and as shown in the video, you can use it to cancel Skeidragoun's Fest at the peak and then do another one or a Dragoun's Foin. If you've ever played DMC4 or 5 or played a gunslinger build in DMC3, the chargeable guns play similarly to redouted bolt in mystic sh. You want to charge while doing other actions like attacking or using your special moves. If you're trying to do mystic sh without using redouted bolt (particularly the charged variation) you're going to have a really bad time. It's a critical tool especially for helping mitigate the class's lack of a good dodge or block. Charging stops your stamina from regening though so you have to balance that when you decide whether or not to charge when attacking.
Btw you can go back here when it's night time skeletons will spawn from the inside and break the lock
Nice, glad to see you are still breaking games
To be honest, this game breaks itself often

Will they open the door for you though?
@@allandmThey will
I thief'd my way up a similar door over by that ancient battleground. No splitter necessary.
It made me feel like an acrobat.
The pawn threw me the other way
You can also just chuck a pawn over the wall lol. At least, that's what I remember doing. That, or call up harpy airlines.
Meanwhile mages just be floating over from a nearby incline
Facing 180 degrees the other direction, I was standing on the other corner of the building walls, was doing a few random attacks, and some how broke the barrier on that door from 'behind' while looking for a skip like this lol

To be fair, so can Theif. Ive been having a blast going out of bounds and sequence breaking with concussive step and wall jump.
i never thougth of interrupting the dragoon jump with the blast, brilliant
that's why they didn't put the yellow paint

As the devs intended.
A majority of my deaths in the game were me doing things like this trying to get to places I wasn't supposed to beeeee.

Heck I wouldn't exactly say this was cheating to get in. That's just a creative use of the game's mechanics.
Nah in this case there is an intended way on the left wall which is lower. Pawns will offer to launch you in the air over it.
Harpysnare smoke beacon is great for these as well.
I am here because of your Teardown work; just seeing what was your most recent.
Another example is shooting the lock through a window with a bow, for the roofed situations
Pawns are really bad at this one. Sometimes a mage will shoot lightning through the roof to break it, but most of the times they won't know what to do.
You can also do that with sorc/mage or thiev
Good to know it's possible
I had a warrior vocation with catapult launch skill at that time, and just tossed on of my pawns over the gate, they opened it from the other side

@HelixSnake ok. I believe you. Just curious why you'd call it "breaking" traversal In that case....if it's intended to be that way lol. That's all
@@tonytony8595 just my habit of optimizing for the youtube algorithm.
@@HelixSnake lol. Fair enough
My pawn threw me the other way and then I open the gate. It was easy
Magic archer as well, use the Ricochet from outside and the arrows will shoot inside and break open the door
It doesn’t work for this particular one, but in general inside confined spaces it’ll work
There is a crack in the wall on the left my pawn shot it with lighting through it XD this is good to know for N+ though thanks love the spearhead zooming around so fun.
Nice one
For me i used the broken pillars in the back to do the thrust and get behind the door. To each their own i guess

never though of using vocation skill to cancel the first skill mid air and then dragon foin, nice!
The man the myth the glitch

All that for a Panacea I cant be bothered with this game's exploration loots 😂
Except it's not always a Panacea or junk, sometimes it's good loot like a weapon or armor. Or Wakestone, etc...
lmao lucky for me in night time skeleton respawned and break the door for me
this is nothing. by spamming dragoun's foin you can go up the one-way slides, now THAT is breaking traversal

Idk if it’s breaking the game or if it’s supposed to be like that. I did the same thing as a sorcerer with levitate.
