- Plenty of feral cats and foxes fall in this little episode, join me on a nights work shooting invasive predator species in Australia. For a twist I'll show you how I'm utilising an Ebike from EORB Australia to move around with stealth and take care of business.
Critters on the deck and not killing native animals and damaging agriculture is the aim of the game. These uncontrolled animals are an environmental and agricultural menace in Australia and are mostly classed as invasive pest species. No, we don't eat feral cats and foxes, they are disposed of in a pit and buried.

I'm shooting my custom Tikka T3 rifle chambered in 6mm BR with a 18" Carbon Six barrel and Hi Tec Industries stock. The suppressor from Shawmac Industries which works amazingly well on this cartridge shooting subsonic Speer 75gr Varmint Hollow Points. Or regular ammunition shooting Nosler 80gr Ballistic Tips at just over 3100fps (all reloads). Thermal scope is the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XG50. For scanner duties I'm running my Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 thermal binoculars.

Yep will look at it. Wish I still had my SLR WOULD BE GOOD TO HAVE NEW SCOPE'S ON IT ONE OF THE BEST.
got me worried a bit... thought you were going to run the critters over....🤣🤣🤣
I couldn't give a schitt less about your channel......
Another sensational shoot, especially the feral cats. Your professional techniques and use of excellent equipment are a testament to your skills and overall professionalism. Keep it up. Love your work.
Appreciate it Russ
Nice shooting. Extra points for the felines. Enemy #1 when it comes to our small natives.
Absolutely
Love seeing the cats being taken out.
Yes. People have no clue as to how big they get and how destructive they are.
I love cats, enviro cats, the ones that are kept inside..The filthy feral cats are on a par with feral pigs, all need to be eradicated.!!!
@@louiserawle8999 just like people 💀💀
Triple points for the cats♥️🐈⬛👍
Thanks John
Taking those Ferals out of our system. Well done Sir. 😀👍
Always!
Awesome stuff man! Protecting native birds from those horrible cats! Good on ya👌💪
Thanks 👍
Dead foxes are awesome - dead cats are even awseomerer. 🤣🤣🤣
Thought you'd like that 😂
Agreed! I have a bit of a soft spot for foxes, although I completely understand why they need to be taken in this context. Cats however . . . cats gotta go.
I love cats... 😔
Especially when they are dead. 😆
Extra points if they are wearing a bell!😮🎉
I agree.
That was one devastating head shot on that fox! Great shooting again, especially with a couple of feral cats removed from our environment. Very interesting using the Ebike, gives me some ideas. Happy hunting!
Absolutely worth looking into. Has changed a lot of what I do and I'm covering a lot more country in a few hours.
Great stuff Nathan Foxes and Cats all you needed was a wild dog to get the trifecta but a great night all the same .It's a shame that so many people don't understand the damage these things do to our wildlife in Australia keep up the good work mate.
You got that right!
Do the feral cat lovers knopw just how much carnage a single cat can do in 24 hours. Well done as usual.
Stupid thing is they are so blind they often don't care.
Australia has such beautiful endemic fauna, hunting feral cats is one way to protect it.
Same . The Hawaiian islands has a similar feral cat problem problem .
I don’t know what’s worse the feral cats or the feral cat lovers.
Both 🤦♂️
Feral cat lovers are extremely ignorant and have the IQ of a house brick.
Both
Or cringe hunters that cant shoot shit without the scope, here in Europe if you go hunting with a thermal scope you would be a laughing stock pussy.
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK chuckle chuckle
tremendous job you are doing, this is very educational and should be made mandatory viewing for 15 to 16 year olds to show the reality of what needs to be done. We are at war with pests and invasive species. Great job, thank you.
Cheers mate 👌
I am not a cat hater but nothing makes me happier than feral cats being taken out of the environment.
Thanks John
As soon as a cat steps off the verandah, its feral.
Awesome video. Well made and edited. (Very) humane dispatches as it should be.Thumbs up immediately and greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
Thank you very much!
Big thanks Nathan. You just saved countless native animal lives in this shoot only. Love the rig and excellent production skills too! Big cheers from Sydney - Dave (brought up in the Outback)
Thanks Dave
More feral cat kills [PLEASE.].
I can only shoot what I see mate 👌
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK I understand..but crush them when possible.
Keep shooting the feral cats bro, as an avid lover of Australian birds every one you shoot puts a smile on my face. 💪
Cheers
I posted this on one of the UK groups I watch so they can see how you get along in the outback.
Awesome mate 👌
The two cats make the night worthwhile. Everything else is a bonus. Awesome.
Thanks Terry 😎
I'm Brazilian and I love the way you Australians respect the game and don't cry over dead pests
Thankyou
pests are those who are destroying amazonas river with plastic and pollution dont u thinkk so?
My favourite pest controller! Excellent shooting as usual mate. Good job on the kitties. A lot of people don't understand the damage those buggers do to the native wildlife. Also, great idea positioning the cats (or posing them) post mortem to look like they're peacefully sleeping. Very serial killer-esque.
Thanks 👍🏻
when I shot feral cats I was critized by cat lover so I told them what was inside the cats that I killed and that shut some of them up.
@@gazzas123 that'll work everytime 👌
Love it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
... that's a lot of ferals down and out ! ... Love your work mate 🙏
Much appreciated
Less talk about the pushie and more shooting….lol.
Gotta love the bullet conservation with the two in one shot. As far as the wacko moggie brigade mate, maybe they should be more worried about the little animals that exist in the natural habitat instead of these killers that don’t belong here.
Pity we don’t have a government with balls to outlaw the things and have them all done away with. Just because the cat wackos are appeased our beautiful natural animals are been devastated. 😡
Mate you drop at 1:34 AM east USA not sure I’m awake. Looks a little dangerous to me you could get a groin injury. Good shooting as usual and it never gets old. So you’ll fall on your face to save the rifle?
Yes, I'll take that hit for the gun 😂. Sorry, I'm an Aussie... Pretty sure the Americans don't drop at a time to suit me anyway. What are you doing up 😂
Sounds like the perfect transport for a night out in the paddock. The ferals might not recognise the sound, they are used to diesels. Better than hiking up and down hills all night, we have plenty of those up in Queensland.
Absolutely, the sound is unique and animals often just don't care about it.
I love the stealth mode with the bike there Nathan, even some of the foxes like it as they're smiling whilst having a little lie down after lead poisoning. That fox sure had a splitting headache 'ay LOL!
It was sure spread a bit thin
Bountiful outing to be sure Nathan, the farmers should be pleased with that night's clean up!
Thanks for taking these videos,..very entertaining to viewers like me, and I appreciate this. Thumbs Up indeed!
Thanks 👍
Got to love feral cat and fox control, especially that fox that lost his mind! And the Ebike is a bit of a game changer too eh? Always entertaining Nath 👍
Thanks 👍🏻
Great video, foxes and cats are better off dead…
I'm a cat person but you've got to do what you've got to do.
Same . That particular ecosystem just has too many predator cats . It's an unfortunate situation for all .
Foxes are my favourite animal but I appreciate you taking these out.
Love your work mate! I find your videos informative and you’re obviously a very talented professional! Keep up the good work.
Much appreciated!
Hello, kitty! **BLAM** Goodbye, kitty!
I love how couldn’t care less about the $10,000 bike or whatever it is but as long as the guns are okay 😂 though to be fair that scope is probably worth more than any gun I’ll ever buy.
*EDGE of the OUTBACK* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love your videos, very educational for me as a new shooter, I really appreciate your content. As a very long time mountain biker I can give a bit back on your squeaky when wet brake problem. After a water crossing just lightly drag them for a couple of hundred metres to get some heat into them, that should stop them squeaking when you next pull up to attend to your next feral pest.
Thanks Fred 👍🏻
Before I got old & fat I tried a mountain bike out near Burke. Worked a treat because it was so quiet & you could just step off it & shoot. The worry was often you were right in the mob before you saw them. Very close shooting. Main problem was cateye burrs would put so many punctures in your tyres it was new tubes every day.Even with tyre protectors in. My Kelpies woudn't jump out of the truck without a good look around.
Yeah those burrs can be trouble for a bike 😞
Swap your tubes for a tubeless setup. Unlike cars mountain bike tubeless includes a liquid sealant which seals small holes say 2-3mm. Should have no problem with cat eyes. Your local bike shop should be able to sort you out
That e-bike is awesome, I think because it's so quiet the foxes and the feral cats really had no idea that you were there considering the amount of animals you put down on this shoot.
Obviously the wind direction is going to be a factor as it always will be, but the e-bike is very quiet and stealthy.
That fox at 6 metres 😲 it literally exploded!
Great video, and as usual bloody good shooting mate.
Really enjoyed that video.
Have an awesome day.
🗡️🇦🇺🗡️
Cheers Pete, it's definitely an awesome tool for this type of shooting 👍🏻
Love it. Out there, the only good cat is a dead one
Thanks
if one runs the tires at too low a psi and hits a rock there is a chance the inner tube can be pinched and cause a flat, I know from first hand experience
Not enough cats... 🤔
😆
More feral cats need to be hunted !
Well done mate, fantastic clip as always. Give those feral cats hell.
Thanks, will do!
Wild stuff star wars gear😮 love it brilliant work unreal.
Glad you enjoyed it
Here kitty , kitty
I watch a lot of hunting videos and I'm impressed with the quality of your productions, very professional. I can see you do a lot of time consuming after hunt work.
Absolutely John, it's a labour of love and often hate 😩
I love cats but not feral ones. We need to get rid of as many of all feral pests as we can. Great job mate keep it up
Totally agree
Not a feral cat lover but I do have a question. Why couldn’t y’all have just neuter/spay the cats YOU introduced into YOUR native habitat. You can’t blame a wild animal for their wild tendencies. Your just putting out a fire you started yourself. Maybe I’m ignorant but that’s what it seems like to me. Don’t blame the cats for destroying the native surroundings blame yourselves.
Please have a Google on foxes and feral cats in Australia. They are a huge threat to our native animals. Leaving foxes and feral cats to continue killing our defenseless natives is not an option, they aren't fking them to death so neutering does nothing.
Great vid. On one level the ebike makes so much sense and on another, from experience and particularly at night the ebike is a slip away from a major spinal cord injury-be careful!!.
Yes I'm very cautious
Feral cats...the scourge of native Australian wildlife...lizards, birds and native mice etc...every cat down saves native animal lives...
Exactly 👌
Great shooting and that's a lot less ferals eating out native animals. Loved the kit review too, keep it up dude.
Cheers 🍻
native animals like what?
We recently had a fox get into our chicken coop and it killed every single chicken, all 12 of them. Needless to say I was ready the next day. 😁. Looks like most of yours were young pups so good to clear them out. I like your new transportation. Seem to be a good move!
That's a bugger mate 😞
Beast of a bike mate. make a bit of a change to the hunt. Great job on that cat. 👍
Was out on it last night, really bloody handy.
The way Ebikes(1 a Week) are catching on fire it’s a yeah Nah, looks good but.
Lot of really cheap bikes about though, and people leaving them on charge for 24hr stints unattended 😔
Nice work Nathan awesome set up great to see some more feral cats hit the dust .
Thanks 👍
And you can charge of the farmers electric fence bahahaha.
love when you get them feral cat mate!
Just thinking about your comment on feral cat lovers - are there people that actually like feral cats?
So many ill informed cat lovers, yes.
Hey Nath, thanks for the awesome video. A e-bike? Bugger me that’s creative and bloody effective. Great job.
Thanks!
Me and my friend are seriously considering the E bike for our night coyote hunts. I live in America and hunt very similar terrain and you and it looks like they can handle it no problem 😊😊😊
Go for it, just make sure I can carry the required gear for the Hunt.
Never a boring vid. Excellent shooting mate as always..
Thanks 👍🏻
Pin a good negative comment so we can all dislike it 😂
Stealth I was thinking. But I did noticed a slight whine when you were riding it. That red light is the ticket in total dark. What gun are you shooting this night. Still great video, good info I had been looking into e bike. For hunting outings, my big concern was how it would be on off road handling, it looks pretty good. Yours is pretty rigged out. about how much can be expected to pay, just a guess, I am in the states.
You can get these exact bikes from Frey in the USA 👌. It's really quiet, the noise you hear is directly on the bike with all the close rattles etc right next to the camera.
I mean this is what we used to do before we got "domesticated" and just buy food from the groceries and just be inside all day, anyway loved the content here, its rare to find a hunting channel with a quality as good as this channel, so keep the hunt going man
Really appreciate it mate 👌
Looks like the bike has its advantages. Very quiet, keeps you mobile, etc. As much as I hate to say it. Will see after the first time you crash it. Hopefully that will not happen. There are lots of terrain and obstacles at night. Risk manage it, and take is slow and cautious.
Yeah I'm really cautious on it at night. Fortunately I ride a normal MTB mainly at night so can kinda steer a bike alright. But we shall see 💩
Nathan you are an innovator - I’ve never thought of hunting off an eBike - bloody good idea. Quite a few young foxes in that lot perhaps only 6 months out of the den. I find they almost always come to the whistle regardless but other times the whistle just doesn’t interest the more mature models. Have you got any theories around why?
Time of year and local food source plays a big part. Sometimes, they just don't feel like it.
More mature models are more experienced & smarter just like in people (mostly)…😏
Excellent what can anyone say but awesome stuff
Channel is one of the best
Great work doing a great job getting rid of the foxs & wild cats.
Stay safe thanks for sharing Cheers
Much appreciated!
Was just watching edge deer hunting part 2
Way back when 😂
See if any of the feral cat lovers will supply their postal addresses and for a small amount of postage they can get a feral cat in the post [ LMAO!!! ] They can give it a name and let it out in the house to snuggle up with on the lounge and watch a movie by the fire, all safe and warm. They can FEEL THE LOVE!, love hurts. Invite their woke female friends over for a cage opening party - with cake and lots of squeaky toys.
😂
Excellent shooting. Only 1 thing better than a cat..... several dead cats.
Keep it up! ❤
Cheers, thought you'd like that 😎
Dam'n Nathan what an Amazing Stealth Concept ....It defiantly works a treat, The ferals probably didn't think so though😎👍
Guarantee they didn't like it 😂
Nice set up on the e-bike.A good night on the pest control ,certainly enough of them around! and you are right, always a good feeling when you drop a feral cat.Looking forward for the next video.
Thanks 👍
Thank you for doing this work.
Oh Nathan
You crack me up bloke😂
Those cats are better off now and that fox looked like it had explosive decompression!
Your doing an awesome job for those farmer's 👍👍.
Love ya work.
Keep it up.
Cheers as always from Penrith.
🇭🇲🦊🐱🐗🦌🐐🇭🇲
Glad you enjoyed it
ya sneaky bugger
nothing better than a dead feral cat in the moonlight
This is true 😎
Two words about feral cats: ba-bye (comment for you algorithm)
Cheers mate 👌
These so called hunting ebikes that you see on youtube are total crap including this one. Rebranded chinese knockoffs ... way too heavy and extortionately expensive. You can build one yourself for about 1/3 of the price with a much better motor and battery, lighter and a vastly superior bike. And takes almost zero technical skills, anyone can do it. Would make a very interesting vid.
You should do a video on it then 👌
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK Yes indeed. It was your vids on the topic that alerted me to the possibility of using ebikes for hunting. I intend to document the build via vid. I'll be installing a torque sensing mid drive motor on a mountain bike frame and it'll be much much lighter than the 'hunting' ebikes that are currently marketed
The only thing better than a few dead cats, is more dead cats. Nice job as always 👍
Thanks Lars
That was awesome Nathan!! Particularly loved the 2 for 1 deal. I have been thinking about using my ebike as well and was trying to work out how to sling the rifle. Love your videos and how you have little breaks and explain the gear you are using.
Cheers mate 👌
Bloody hell you have me in stitches mate 😂😂😂 better shoot some more cats 🐈
I think I will 😎
Good on you shot ever cat you see out hunting at night they are a nightmare for wildlife
Thanks Anthony
To the feral cat brigade...all cats should be desexed and wear bells 🔔 so they can't kill native marsupials...you have no idea the destruction these pests have on the environment just like foxes
I wish they would understand it better but they don't 😞
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK mate you just keep doing what you do and fcuk the do gooders..they don't live on the land and have no idea, except Coles and woollies provide their food. Great job buddy 👏
that headshot!
Made a big mess 😔
Nice work. Just got my XP50 Pro 2 LRF. 5 foxes on the first night. 6.5 mm Tikka T3 TAC A1
the more feral cats you shoot the better, rob
Thanks 👍🏻
Take every feral cat you find, the native fauna will thank you.
That's the plan!
Keep up the good work!
Hay from a cat lover perfect shooting,
my cats have never been out side their cat runs
Cat out after dark is feral in my eyes if you are responsible cat owner you cats are never out side after dark
Agreed 🤝
A feral animal is a feral animal, doesn't matter if it's a cat, dog, fox, pig, deer, horse, goat, buffalo, camel etc. They don't belong here. Good job! It's a shame fox fur isn't worth what it was in the 1980s.
Oh I forgot to mention,,, the people that are freaking out about the coyotes are freaking out because they are eating their CATS.
Some people think it’s ok to let their domestic feline out to breed, hunt native birds, mammals, reptiles… however..
The coyotes are really liking the feral and domestic feline’s… coyotes aren’t that bad,, ?
His head's kinda gone 😅
Great work, a fabulous shot - er ah do you edit out the misses…?
No, everyone misses, and theres plenty in my other video's 👌I am very careful on fox jobs to not miss though.
Great work Nathan I'm totally amazed that there are Australian people who support bloody feral cats ahead of our beautiful native wildlife 😢can anyone tell me what makes them tick !!
It blows me away, but they absolutely exist 😩
I think a couple of the Aussie feral cats would give a mountain Lion a run for it's money ,till the projectile blows them away.🤣🤣🤣🤣
support this man
Thanks mate 👌
With 39 species of Australian native animals extinct due to foxes and feral cats, how could anyone complain about their removal?
Cats are an inside pet. Ours is.
Great video too.
Thanks Craig, it is remarkable how many people take issues with feral cat shooting. I have absolutely zero issue with pet cats and responsible owners, but you're right. The feral buggers are a big problem.
As for the squeaky brakes, maybe try applying the brakes as soon as you get out of the water. That should dry the brakes and hopefully stop the squeak when it matters. Top video as usual.
Yeah I did try that, have a few ideas to try 👍🏻
I find the pads have dust on them and need a quick rub on wet n dry or something. I haven't tried brake kleen but it might work without removing the pads. I've had an electric mountain bike for a couple of years now done about 5500km.
Top job! Never pleasant to kill an animal, but it is essential to save such a fragile ecosystem.
Thanks mate 👌
