Jillian's Story - PHSA CWH Redevelopment Project

Challenge: A brand new, purpose-built hospital for the deserving families of BC has stories to tell... even if it hadn't quite yet been opened.
Solution: Oh behalf of Provincial Health Services Authority, Oh Boy was honoured to tell the stories of four former patients at BC Children's Hospital to relate their unique situations to this new hospital that will save and help countless more families here in BC following its grand opening in October 2017.
In this video, we featured Jillian's story as a backdrop for leading those watching the video through an intimate, personal tour of the new Teck Acute Care Centre.
As an 11-year-old healthy girl, a stranger appeared randomly in Jillian's life just long enough to tell her she had noticeable scoliosis. This friendly stranger/Mom advised Jillian to tell her Mom. So she did. From there, she spent a serious chunk of her childhood at BC Children's hospital correcting the dangerous curve in her spine.
We brought Jillian back to Children's to get a sneak peek & private tour, share her story with us, and relate it to the new space where future patients will receive similar care to that which changed her life years ago.
This emotional video strikes a chord with all of us, defining the care and commitment given to the construction of the new facility.
