Ya the fishing is broken in this game lol! For me personally, it would bob up and down a lot and after a while it would stop and be still. After that then I would wait and fish would come!
You have so many stacks of lapis why don't you sell your lapis to free up chest space and please widen your Bridges this is why you mostly keep dying because you keep falling
I've got a tip for farming crops: get a enchanted hoe with fortune 4 and use it to farm all crops, the durability doesn't go down but you always get at-least double the drops for all crops

I built a spider farm and then the glitched through a block but I fixed after a lot deaths and losing 40k coins
