I'm a HUGE horror fan and Halloween fan and I just have the 10 disc set. I bought the producers cut of Halloween 6 separate so I still have that. I'm just not paying 300 dollars for the 15 disc set, even though it would be awesome to have.
Yeah I'm sorry but each disc doesnt need it's own case lol. A set is a set. A lot of us hardcore Halloween fans cant be spending money like that. Besides, who needs bonus features on disc? When you can UA-cam those documentaries on each movie? Just sayin lol. What appeals to me about the 15 disc is the artwork only. The ONLY way I'm gonna pay 300 bucks on something Halloween related is a mask from cemetery gate productions or the upcoming H40 convention in Pasadena
u don't know what u talking about. first of all the 15 disc set costs just 80 to 100 dollars when it came out. u should have bought it then. Also the producers cut has no beep extras if u buy it separately. in the 15 disc set it has tons of extras but most important ? DELETED SCENES.
@HorrorFanatic81 Shhhut the fuck up and let people enjoy what they like, little boy. Idiots like you give real horror fans a bad name. Eat broken glass, you whiny bitch.
Great video, Christian! In my opinion, if you are a massive horror and Halloween fan, than I highly recommend the deluxe edition. But for the casual fan who just want to own the movies, the 10-disc set is the way to go.
You should do this with the Nightmare on Elm Street comparison between the 8 movie collection dvd and the complete collection box set. That would be awesome!
Very helpful to a new collector. Keep it up! I'd love to see you do a Texas Chainsaw Massacre video. I had the opportunity to buy the first film today but I half off hoping there was a compilation. Doing some quick research it doesn't look like there is a full collection. Same request goes for Friday the 13th and nightmare on elm street!
LOL!! It's funny; when I started thinking about collecting the Halloween movies on Blu-ray, as I did over a decade ago on DVD, neither the Rob Zombie movies nor Resurrection even crossed my mind to look for!!
I think a lot of people have picked up the 10-disc set because it might sit a bit better on the shelf. I also mostly only saw the 10 disc set being offered in stores like Best Buy. I personally have the 15-disc set because Halloween is my favorite horror franchise of all time so the 15 disc set was a no brainer for me.
Hi, which of the two editions (10 & 15 discs) have the TV cut for the 1978 Halloween??? I mean the extended version... Cause I've got the 35th anniversary edition and it has the scenes but as a feature only.
Good video. I bought the 10 disc set several years ago. I have the Producer's cut disc by itself that I bought before that. I love my collection, but I still want the 15 disc.
Nice update, Nick. Back the the Future is a classic. Cats Eye is good fun, I have the Umbrella Blu ray. Can't wait to get the Halloween 6 Blu ray, it looks awesome. I need to re-watch Behind the Mask, cause I wasn't a fan when I saw it years ago and havn't seen it since. Wow, great find on Terror Train, its OOP and the esp with the slip, its hard to find. Late Phases is really good and its unique and I'd say the quote is pretty spot on. Bird With The Crystal Plumage is alright, but not a favourite from Argento. I need to get that Tales from the Crypt set, as I don't think think I've seen the show.
Great comparison! I have the 15-disc set. I got it 3 years ago when it was on sale for a little over $100 with shipping. Around $10 per movie (on Blu-Ray!) plus a massive load of bonus features, a cool book, and a cool box case. I'm definitely a fan of the separate boxes for each movie. I don't care about how much space the set takes up. I was on a budget then but I made sure to get the big set. There are two minor issues I have with the set though. One is that the TV version of H1 and the Theatrical versions of Rob Zombie's H1 and H2 aren't included. I think they are the superior versions of the RZ movies. The other is that the bonus disc doesn't have it's own case; it's in the RZH2 case. Why couldn't there just be an extra case for it? I get that 10 cases is a lot, but one more wouldn't be too bad. The DVD set for A Nightmare on Elm Street from 1999 had a separate case for the bonus disc (granted there are only 7 movies in that set though). Prior to owning the Blu-Ray set, I had all 10 movies on DVD (including a bootleg H6 Producer's Cut and both Theatrical and Unrated RZ movies). I still have all the DVDs and I bought the separate Blu-Ray of the H6PC. I'm really glad I got the 15-disc set when I did because soon after that, the price skyrocketed. A die-hard Halloween fan should pick up the big set, but budgeted and casual fans would be fine with the small set. In addition just buy the TV version of H1 and the Theatrical versions of RZ's movies and the Blu-Ray of the H6PC and that's a complete collection for a much cheaper price.
Greqt video!! I'm really looking forward to buy the complete collection but I got one doubt... Which of the two versions have the TV extended version??? I would really love to watch the TV version! Thanks.
I bought the 15-disc set version on Amazon when it first came out by preordering it, because at the time I did not have any of the Halloween movies on Blu-ray Disc.
I missed out on the 15 set cause as usual I was on a tight budget. An fye store was closing down so everything was marked down significantly and they had the 10 disc set and my wife jus happened to have a coupon from fye, I can't remember how much it was worth so I got the set for just a couple of bucks. Man what steal! I was happy with the set, and still have it! I still would love to get the 15 disc set. But with the new Friday the 13th set that was just announced, I did not hesitate, I got in my pre-order!
Great review. Not all horror movie fans like bonus features. I prefer not to peak behind the curtain. The very concept behind the Land of Oz. I enjoy both sets. Be sure and order the new TOTS 2018 Myers mask! 👊🏼
I agree 100% about not seeing behind the curtain. Cause if I see how the movie is made then that's what I'm going to be thinking about when watching it. I want to believe it's real lol.
Awesome video. I missed out on these as I wasn’t big into collecting back then. Hoping now that the latest trilogy is complete a new boxset with all films get released. Im sure a scream factory box set of the trilogy is coming in 2023 and I’ll get it but I want them to do another for the entire franchise.
I actually love collection sets that are on very little disks. I’m all for seeing each movie side by side. But I prefer to just see something like “children of the corn complete collection”...
As much as I would LOVE to pick up the 15 disk collection I'm not planning on dropping over 200 bucks so I got the 10 disk set as well as the producers cut of 6 and I already owned the extended tv cut of the original Halloween so I'm not missing any of the features... I do wish they were individually packaged tho :(
Can someone tell me if that 10 disc sets copy of H20 is the proper 2:34:1 aspect ratio as opposed to the original blu rays 1:78:1 aspect ratio? When you watch the version on the 10 disc set, does it have big black bars on the top and bottom of the screen or does it fill most of the tv?
I bought the 10 disc set a few years back for $40 my cousin had picked up the 15 disc when it came out, knowing how much of a fan of the franchise I am he gave me tne extra 5 discs I didn't have along w the box set and cases and the book, so now I have the delux edition thanks to him
Oldie but Goodie right here! I kick myself in the BUTT for not picking any of these sets up! I do have them all on DVD but need the Blu Ray treatment! I might just buy them all as stand-alones and hopefully they'll release another set in the future!
Never knew of the 15 disc collection and I’m a huge horror fan lol. I own the 10 disc set and I’m content with it but if I find the 15 disc set on the cheap then I’ll pick it up. It’s super expensive right now.
Hey Christian, do you know where I can buy this box set that is in brand new condition or one that has not yet been opened I’m referring to the 15 disc box set?
Even though I own all the Shout Factory 4K releases, I’ll never part with my 15 disc blu-Ray box set. It’s becoming a collector item in the horror community. I chose that set years ago because I loved having the classic artwork on the individual discs as well as having two versions of parts 1, 2, and 6.
I really wanted to get the 15 disc but I couldn’t bring myself to buy it since I only like the first 3 films. But, had the Zombies films not been included I probably could have convinced myself to get it. Though I picked up the FYE exclusive steel book for 1 and the steel book for 2 as well. That being said the artwork is absolutely beautiful.
Christiam, Good afternoon, I'm from Brazil, I wonder if Halloween of 1978 and sold separately with both albums? the 35th anniverary version and the extended version of tv you have in this box, or only in this box do you have the two movies together? I know the other films are sold separately with the collectors issues, but I did not find Halloween 1978 in double edition
Man, Nightmare On Elm Street needs a set like this. The Blu-ray has an awesome cover, but it’s so simple. Hasn’t had a right box set update in a long time. The Blu-ray set doesn’t have individual cases, and isn’t thick, lol
Great video! Can I ask what region they come in? I'm from the UK and I spent hardcore cash getting a multi-region bluray player so I can buy US editions (which, frankly, tend to be a lot better) but only some US blus play on it! Are they region-free? Some Region A discs play on my player but some don't! It's really annoying!
My local FYE had a gently used copy of the 10 disc set for around $30 (plus I never shop at FYE without my 20% a single item survey coupon) and the Halloween: Curse of Michael Myers Producer's Cut new for $5. So that was the consumer's fate I was dealt in regards to these releases! No regrets, totally satisfied!
The original 15 disc set is much better. It has virtually everything you could want if you're a fan of the series. Just too bad it is now out of print and costs a fortune. It's going for 260 dollars on Amazon now. I am so glad I got back in 2015 when it was still in print. I think I paid 70 or 80 for it. I just wish I had gotten the similar Friday the 13th Bluray set. It is now also out of print and costs a pretty penny. Big mistake on my part. :(
I did the opposite. I got the f13 set and not this Halloween great set. I wonder if they are gonna re-release it or even if they are gonna release it the 15 set in region 2.....(region B)
There is also a rough cut "workprint" of the curse of Michael Myers which includes a few extra scenes. And another cut which include just a few seconds of gore that was cut from the theatrical cut and a alternate soundtrack.
Yesterday I found the 10 disc set at best buy for 30 dollars. I didnt buy it because I was looking for friday the 13th, but Im not sure if I should buy the 10 disc set over the 15 because I love individual cases for them
Lionsgate actually released the Producers Cut version on a separate release, its sold at Bestbuy, Amazon wherever for around 8 bucks. Also i believe the 15 disc set is OOP now
yes other sites will be selling it 3rd party or any remaining leftover unsold stock, but its OOP bud...Shout Factory isn't releasing anymore at the moment.
Friday the 13th just got this set . Can't wait till October got mine pre ordered. I missed this Halloween Set, thts not happening with the Friday the 13th set.
I still have H6 DVD Block Buster rental copy which I kept and bought out , years back part 6 was impossible to find So my copy of 6 is a bootleg I guess . So having part 6 in blue ray is a gem. It's still hard to find to this day.
You talk about the Producer's cut for Halloween 6 but you didn't mention whether the 15 disc set includes the TV version of Halloween 1 and 2 (which feature new scenes recorded exclusively for TV showings which were later included on the 2 disc DVD).
I Rather Get The Halloween Blu-Ray Complete Collection On The Right Because It's A Better Self Space And It's Also Cheaper Then The Other One On The Left,
Do you think there will be a new collector’s edition with the new 2018 movie? I want the full set with all the special features, but I don’t want to shell out $260+ for it
Thomas Pappalardo that’s really hard to say. It depends on if the rights can be gathered again for scream factory or someone else who can try to compile them all together again
The only Halloween films I have as of now are The Curse of Michael Myers, H20 and Resurrection in a 3-pack collection. I have ordered the first five Halloween films and I will eventually get the Rob Zombie Halloween and Halloween 2018.
This is not a complete set...yet...lol
The only solace I have for not getting the 10 disc set when it was cheap
It was until Halloween 2018 came out

Ya i'm waiting for the DGG trilogy to end for a nother set to come out
And now we have a Friday the 13th 16 disc collection coming out in OCT from scream factory
I have that too.
And now there's a paramount pictures friday the 13th 8 movie set coming out August 10 2021
Waiting for Scream factory to do Nightmare on Elm Street-.-
I didn't hesitate to drop a $100 on the 15 disc set when I saw it sitting on the shelf at Best Buys in 2014
So glad I was able to pick up the 15 disc set sealed for $80 two years ago
I'm a HUGE horror fan and Halloween fan and I just have the 10 disc set. I bought the producers cut of Halloween 6 separate so I still have that. I'm just not paying 300 dollars for the 15 disc set, even though it would be awesome to have.
Jhonen Slane the 15 disc set is nice but realistically buying this, the producers cut is much more practical, I'm happy with it!

Yea it’s an awesome set! I have the 15 Disc Set, got it back in 2014 at FYE for $125
And a friend of mine bought like 20 copies for 100 dollars each and now he sold all of then for 300 dollars each. he made 4,000 dollars clear profit.
I wanted to buy the 15 disc but it is extremely expensive right now
MLG HITLER ikr
The small one is like 70 on average so if I can find a standalone producers cut of curse I'm gonna get it
MLG HITLER I got mine today from Best Buy for 65 bucks (after tax)
Walmart has it for $40! Just picked it up!
Down The Rabbit Hole Photography is that the 10 or 15 disc set at wal mart? Their website shows the image of the 15 disc set but it’s cheap.
15 Disc Deluxe Totally Worth It!
@HorrorFanatic81 Shhhut the fuck up and let people enjoy what they like, little boy. Idiots like you give real horror fans a bad name. Eat broken glass, you whiny bitch.
HorrorFanatic81 eat shit, fuckboy.
HorrorFanatic81 Nothing you say do or think holds any relevance. Go fuck yourself, little boy. You’re a clown and a sad, stupid one at that.
@@orwellianson Try finding the set for a reasonable price.
SparkyMarkyMark 23 I already own the 15 disc set.
Great video, Christian! In my opinion, if you are a massive horror and Halloween fan, than I highly recommend the deluxe edition. But for the casual fan who just want to own the movies, the 10-disc set is the way to go.

Actually 10 Disc set not worth not a lot of special features & no producer's cut & not much of anything. So in my opinion 10 Disc not worth it.
Mike205 yea ten disc set it mostly in large stores. Best Buy by me has it and walmart has them too.
Hi, which of the two editions (10 & 15 discs) have the TV cut for the 1978 Halloween??? I mean the extended version... Cause I've got the 35th anniversary edition and it has the scenes but as a feature only.
Captain Brandon Mr. Rockabilly Oh thank you so much! You own it? Is it subtittled in spanish?? (The TV cut one)
Captain Brandon Mr. Rockabilly The 12 version??? There's only 10 & 15 discs right?

Love your descriptions and explanations. Thanks so much for this. Michael Myers rules!!!
Stephen Wethington thanks! Be sure to sub to the channel and join the family!
Thank God I got the 15 disc set for Christmas back then, I would be pissed if I had to get it now it's expensive

It's a shame i missed out on the ultimate box set when it became available because all I can find now is sets on Ebay for $500-$1000 its crazy

Got lucky a few years ago finding the 15 disc set at a record exchange store for $70.
Very informative video. I was not aware of the 15 disc set. That's the on for me.
Hi, I got your message, I do not have a cell phone so I can 't text you. Mike
This is a bot, not me
So before i decide which to buy can you guys 100% confirm to me does H6 have the producers cut cause I've seen the theatrical before
Oldie but Goodie right here! I kick myself in the BUTT for not picking any of these sets up! I do have them all on DVD but need the Blu Ray treatment! I might just buy them all as stand-alones and hopefully they'll release another set in the future!
i got the 10 disc tonight for 40 dollars it's great for watching but I have to have the other set

Where did you get both of these sets from?

I got the 15 disc set when it first came out. Haven't seen it in quite a while. You can buy the other set at Wal-Mart for like $50.
Goji84 yea so now at least people can get their hands on one!
Is the Halloween 10 disc set region free?
I just got it, time for some Holiday Hell!
There is also a rough cut "workprint" of the curse of Michael Myers which includes a few extra scenes. And another cut which include just a few seconds of gore that was cut from the theatrical cut and a alternate soundtrack.
why there are no extras in the separate Halloween 6 blu ray release but only it contains the producers cut version and nothing else ?
Yeah because I want to see the difference between both boxsets are they the same different
The 10 disc set I got mainly for space issues. It’s just easier to put on a shelf
Honestly I really wanted the 15 but I was low on money and got the 10
Powered Master Same here
I've $200
the producer cut is like $50 to 80 on ebay just for 1 movie
Does anyone know why the UK hasn't gotten a Halloween Blu-ray box set release?
Right on about horror fans preserving each movie!
I'm getting the 10 disc set. 🤗
How's the box set the 10 PC one dts is bad don't got good surround sound
I went a different route. I bought Disc one from the complete collection as I only wanted the original movie with original mono audio.
I just found the 15 disc one for 250 bucks today. I had to get it considering how expensive it goes normally
Yesterday I found the 10 disc set at best buy for 30 dollars. I didnt buy it because I was looking for friday the 13th, but Im not sure if I should buy the 10 disc set over the 15 because I love individual cases for them
Considering how rare and hard it is to get the 15 disc set I would say get the ten disc
I just have the original Halloween, and thats all i plan to have
Lionsgate actually released the Producers Cut version on a separate release, its sold at Bestbuy, Amazon wherever for around 8 bucks. Also i believe the 15 disc set is OOP now
Toms Cruise yes, I mentioned the individual release of the producers cut in this video. And I have found sites still selling the 15 disc set.
yes other sites will be selling it 3rd party or any remaining leftover unsold stock, but its OOP bud...Shout Factory isn't releasing anymore at the moment.
Can someone tell me we’re to buy this
getting them on bluray here in europe is hell!!! i only have part two on bluray
I Love the left Halloween Box with the keep cases But I‘m waiting Till they release a Box with the Halloween from 2018 and the two Movies After that.
I only paid $91 for the 15 disc set, and it was some of the best money I have ever spent.
I have the 10 disc halloween collection set
4:50 its free real estate
You talk about the Producer's cut for Halloween 6 but you didn't mention whether the 15 disc set includes the TV version of Halloween 1 and 2 (which feature new scenes recorded exclusively for TV showings which were later included on the 2 disc DVD).
J.J. It does include them!
Hay are you getting the new scream factory Friday the 13th set and if so can you compare it to this set?
the Greek Geek yes
Christian Hanna Horror awesome 😎
How I decide...
Which ones cheaper
10 disc
I was lucky enough to get the 15 disc set on sale through amazon for $100. It’s way expensive to get it now.
I will always kick myself for not getting the 10 disc set when it was cheap
I got the 15 disc deluxe set....go big or go home.
I Rather Get The Halloween Blu-Ray Complete Collection On The Right Because It's A Better Self Space And It's Also Cheaper Then The Other One On The Left,
Zachary Lee nothing wrong with that!
Do you think there will be a new collector’s edition with the new 2018 movie? I want the full set with all the special features, but I don’t want to shell out $260+ for it
Thomas Pappalardo that’s really hard to say. It depends on if the rights can be gathered again for scream factory or someone else who can try to compile them all together again
hey does the h4 disc have a sync issue on the 10 disc
Tony Clark late response but no
Nice :)
I would love to get the 15 disc but I think its now oop. I wish it wasnt :(
If only Scream Factory can put together a set for Nightmare on Elm St.
They’re both great sets. I personally paid for the 15 disc as I hate boxsets that come in just one or two blu cases
The only Halloween films I have as of now are The Curse of Michael Myers, H20 and Resurrection in a 3-pack collection. I have ordered the first five Halloween films and I will eventually get the Rob Zombie Halloween and Halloween 2018.
Nice collections!
I think would like to get the halloween box set to
I found this at a movie trading company for 81 dollars Perfect condition, I snatched it as soon as I saw it.
I brought the 10 disc set and the producer's cut sepertley love the 15 disc set but its way to expensive.
I wasn’t able to get the set and 10-disc collection
My favorite one is holloween resurrection
Now its time for Halloween Returns .
I wish I would have seen the 15 disk set before I bought the 10 disk set
i can’t believe how expensive this set is still going for whew
I’m a huge horror fan but the complete collection is so expensive, so I just got the 10 disc and bought the producer’s cut off Amazon
which of these two sets is the one dat has the messed up halloween 4 disc? please help
chrisqzone that was 15 disc
@@PlanetCHH thanks for your quick response . does the 10 disc contain any bonus features at all how the movies where made etc?
chrisqzone yes, most films come with documentaries
what do you think of the halloween 4k release? is it great or does is have any defects?
