you're probably already thinking (making) this, but I'm also picturing a selectable slide tremolo.

It's trickier, as the issues with Suzuki's chromatic slide tremolo SCT-128 attest. The rear reeds will still be the same high pitches as the front ones, which means they are prone to detuning under the effects of Helmholtz Resonance Coupling. There would have to be a lot of compensatory tuning up of reeds, which would be quite complex.

Amazing and innovative - got to have one of the switchable ones now. Here's a question - could we put the bendable re-tuned version up front for playing without the octave - as long as the octave is tuned the same way and we don't bend when in octave mode?
