After all this time, I’m enjoying watching the reactions of people play this game (and every Xeno game). Sad how many don’t mention how Mio only stared braiding a red rope in her hair AFTER the “accident”. But love how Monolith does this little details.
i think they didn’t recognize because everyone kind of blends in with aionios, you either wear black and blue with keves, white and yellow with agnus, military colours with the city, and the red with moebius. they didn’t really pay attention. also, they only saw each other twice, both times they were under significant pressure

It's so silly they put that like Xenoblade 2. But there is a setting in the menu to swap between hairstyles at will 19:53
