Large fresh spot prawn sashimi 🦐 preparing and eating amaebi at home 🍣

Welcome back to another cooking vlog! I was inspired by ‪@kaitlyn_bui‬ on IG (@kaitlynbui) by her spot prawn reel and went out to search for spot prawns to try myself. I started at 99 Ranch, but ended up finding them at Ocean Seafood Market! The fishmonger there was really kind and helped us pick the best live spot prawns for eating raw. I headed back home to prepare live prawns for the first time -- it was scary at first with their tails trying to slap me, but I quickly got used to dispatching them. I prepared the prawn's body for sashimi and it was delicious! As for the head, we fried it up and it was the most flavorful part of the meal. Let me know if you give it a try!
