    Jay...He WANTS to ROLL, WILLINGLY !!! He looks GREAT...shiney coat, on the muscle, long strides & gallop out to the mile. Very nice times & GATE SPEED. I remember being at this point back in 2008 with my filly Royal Mandate at Tampa Bay Downs. Race placement is soooo important, so "IF" the race doesn't get filled by Wed....believe it to be in his best interest. I'll be watching for sure, on Xpressbet or BetAmerica. If you can, post his workout times, (any bullets). REMEMBER to SMILE in the WINNERS CIRCLE !!! Jay, your the BEST, so RELAX & ENJOY EVERY MINUTE !!

    Jay....congrats on the Place. How did L.A. come out of his 1st race? Grain bucket empty? He ran beautiful. If there was another 1/16th, I believe he catches Offshore. Did Giuseppe take him a little wide on the turn for home? Will you do an analysis of L.A.''s race? Again, congratulations on his Placing...he's so close to breaking his maiden.

    Jay, LA looks great!! I'm just a regular fan and have become a big fan of him and your team. I know there are plenty of good options out there for you guys in regards to who will be your jockey. Can you explain a little about the jockey selection process, if there is one. Or is it more personal preference? I'll be watching and rooting.

    • @JayCNehfracing
      @JayCNehfracing  8 років тому

      Ya had to bring that up! With one horse and no real credibility it's really hard to get a good rider. Everyone wants a sure thing. However, I was able to get Giuseppe Ercegovic, a solid rider from Italy who is really good on turf. I think he will be a top rider in 2017. He won a turf 1 1/16 last weekend by going to the lead and putting everyone to sleep with a very slow pace. He took control of the race

    • @ramontorres620
      @ramontorres620 8 років тому +1

      Well, maybe this will the start to a solid relationship and the 1st of many wins for the Lord Admiral/Ercegovic combination. I'm really looking forward to the race on Saturday. Good luck and most importantly i hope everyone come back safe.

    @anthonyd33331 8 років тому

    Are you going to be making a video on the Travers? That was one of the best performances I have ever seen. I thought Arrogate was gimmicky and overrated, since he was only an allowance winner, but I was wrong. Chrome will have his hands full in the Breeders Cup Classic!

    • @anthonyd33331

      Also, I hope your horse wins!

    • @JayCNehfracing
      @JayCNehfracing  8 років тому

      Thanks! Arrogate seems a real threat. BUT! Baffert's whole operation is geared toward the Triple Crown and you have to wonder why this horse, clearly a really good prospect, missed that series. The question: is he sound? Will the wheels come off before the Classic?

  • @alphaomegastables
    @alphaomegastables 8 років тому

    Jay... I think Artie Sherman was glueing Chrome's shoes on & what about a nose breathing strip??? just a suggestion. THE BEST TO YOU, HIM & all the connections. !!!

    • @JayCNehfracing

    He ran the final f in 12 @ 37mph??? A 1:45 mile breeze? WOW, That's almost level 3 stakes race speed!
    And he's only a 2 y/o, wait until next Spring, he' going to be screamin' fast. I mean like wearing roses in May fast.
    I told ya' so!

    • @JayCNehfracing
      @JayCNehfracing  8 років тому

      LOL! It was a good workout and he came out of it in good shape. But is the work we've done enough? Will he be in over his head in this race? And a thousand more questions. What a business I'm in! 11 months and now into the breach

    • @karenaudreytodd
      @karenaudreytodd 8 років тому

      Jay C. Nehf No, I don't think he will be in over his head at all in this race, but with him there the other horses may be in over their heads LOL!
      Keep up your walks so he doesn't get bored, the best thing you can do for an intelligent horse like that is spend time with him, get him out of his stall and let him hang out and follow you around as you go about your day. Find a place to tie him up where he can watch the other horses working out and racing, and learn from them. Horses are very visually orientated...

    • @JayCNehfracing
      @JayCNehfracing  8 років тому

      Looks like you were right! He ran a little green and shied from the horse inside on the last turn. The jock was devestated, felt he should have won.

    • @karenaudreytodd
      @karenaudreytodd 8 років тому

      Jay C. Nehf
      He did BEAUTIFULLY. It was a learning experience.
      Your training program is working great.
      He's a very bright horse, keep teaching him to teach himself and the sky is the limit.
      Lots more to say but it's late.

    • @lilchi721

    • @JayCNehfracing
      @JayCNehfracing  8 років тому +1

      There is no reason he couldn't run on dirt. Del Mar only offered this turf race but LA has a solid turf pedigree. Even so, he has more dirt horses in the family so you really don't know till you try them

      No. Maidens are not allowed on the turf course to train. Only stakes horses. It's a shot in the dark but his lordship has several great grass runners in the family: champion Youth, champion Ribot, GII winner Man from Eldorado and a few more.

      8th race Saturday September 3, #10 post position far outside. This is a good spot for a first time starter. Oddly, all 10 horses are first time starters. That means none have a fitness edge from a previous race and none have breezed beyond 6f while LA has breezed a mile twice. Hah!
