- Out and about on the Midland Mainline again in the Class 158, this route really has been improved majorly in the last update, lets see for ourselves yet again. Hope you enjoy!

Its awesome route but need further extension.
Mainly the CHASING YELLOWS scenario with signal hud off and go with foggy climate.
I'll guarantee you seat edge experience.
If there is one route that deserves a major overhaul it’s Manchester Leeds. It’s such a great route, but right now it’s almost completely empty (especially at Manchester) and the environment shows it’s age

I take it this is from Leicester and North as 158's don't run south of Leicester in the real world.

In its current state, I'd say go for it. Or wait for a DLC such as a 222 to go with it 😎
its just missing a 360 180 222 or 156
I live near Nottingham and this looks pretty spot on to real life
One bug bear on the 158 workings is it really should give you a bit more time to set the train up (safety systems etc) before departure.
And also the gaurd is way too slow

I used to work for Midland Mainline (the TOC), so will certainly be picking this up. Been playing the Bakerloo Line recently 🙃
is dynamic weather working ? I have my route on dynamic but 2 rows down it says clear. No matter how long my route is the weather stays clear even though it says dynamic.
Hmm should be, tends to start clear and go foggy straight away

They still haven’t fixed the duplicate power car numbers on the hst where the front and rear power car numbers are the same. For example the front and rear power cars are 43082. In real life it will be 43082 in either the front or rear or 43xxx at the front or rear.

Hi Joe, I believe you were late mainly because of the time it takes for the guard to close his doors. And unless we close ours earlier there is no way that we can keep to the timetable.
I could be wrong as I have not played it a great deal because of the way the doors seem to work.
Yeah, as someone mentioned earlier, you'd assume the guard had gone off for a Sunday roast at the local pub lol
Shame there isn’t a service where you can play as the guard

Down here at SWR the guards also get out and check :)
What I really love is the depot outside derby at night it’s got loads of lights!
Could do with being longer really, but still a huge improvement

Ah ok, I'm glad I asked because I have TSW3 and can realistically afford to buy TSW4 but was considering getting another DLC but I don't think it'll be this one in that case. Thanks for the help

I have noticed in the controls menu it mentions something about a Jeep? Does anybody know anything more about it?
It is a mastery reward for holiday express and you get to drive a jeep around

Assuming you mean updated, it did get an extensive update back in June 2022 - although another one would be nice!
@@TheBritishAce yeah with 158 possible layers and electrification. Mind you, by that point you may as wen start from scratch and go to Bristol parkway/BTM

Just as a heads up I believe sprinters are able to follow the “HST” speed limits 👍🏼

@@damianc.0.681 It’s only if it’s below the maximum unit speed - for example they are allowed to follow HST speed limits providing they are 90MPH or below like “HST 85” If there’s anything above “HST 90” then they just travel at 90. Same thing for 150’s and 156’s except they would be limited to 75 :)

@@damianc.0.681 It's only for a specific group of passenger trains, mostly being Multiple Units. It's not just HST's but it's also not for all passenger trains if that makes sense. I believe most MU's can follow HST limit's and the loco hauled trains would have to follow the non-HST limit. But there are some heavier MU's like 185's which aren't allowed to go the HST limit
