- You want to start your own auto detailing business.
But there is a problem. Yes, you are a beginner and you don't know what you don't know.
And today is the day you are introduced to the "one hidden spot". The one spot you will always miss, but don't have to.
But miss you will because you are a beginner and you aren't asking the right questions of your customers.
And the pseudo-experts can't teach you the right questions either because they, themselves, haven't figured it out.
But Darren has, and this is what Darren discusses in today's video for both the beginners and non-beginners of detailing.
Once again, Darren applies his voice of reason with his latest video addressing a problem most beginners don't ever consider.
Your customer just spotted that one spot you missed despite how much work you just put into detailing the car.
How can this be?
Find out in this episode.

As a former marketing exec, I understand completely what he is doing as well as he does. What we have here guys is a man who is actually very much through with detailing and has moved on to teaching. Kudos to him.
Kinda'.....I am actually remain completely into detailing but as the saying goes: "The mind is willing but the flesh is weak". And after 35+ years of this it is time for more "selective" abuse on my body.
@@autofetishdetailI relate
Amazing points and even after 8 years still love ur videos and PRICELESS life's lessons 4 REAL DETAILING ...ty 4 ur mentoring and friendship
I appreciate your support!
I miss the days he used to wash cars. Now he just rambles on into eternity.
Well.....maybe not eternity. But perhaps just to the edge of eternity.
Hey darren i love watching your older videos. Can you explain the difference between 3M perfect it and finesse it compounds? Also are you still supporting csi?
Yes, I still "support" CSi, but I am no longer a partner in the business. CSi is going through some big struggles with their manufacturing due to very deceptive practices when it comes to dealing with the companies you have to rely on to manufacture your product. We always wanted to do the manufacturing ourselves, but this is massive investment in working capital. It has stalled until Tom (the formulator and owner of CSi) gets the manufacturing worked out which he is currently working on. As far as 3M Perfect It an Finesse it, I can't say in the moment. 3M has such a massive product line it is seriously hard to keep up with all their products and knowing any real distinction between many of their products. I know I am not a fan of 3M if it is simply based on their use of solvent based formulations compared to the water based formulations of CSi.
@@autofetishdetail oh ok thank you for the reply!
Despite the haters and trolls awesome video and content good friend
He can be pretty philosophical. But yeah good video.
I actually walk around vehicles with my phone and video tape my pre inspection
Perfect solution!
My wife is always telling me this😂😂😂😂😂
And the one spot is...
The back side of the head rest on the left rear passenger seat.
Yes, that spot. Or was it the spot underneath the rear view mirror that can't even be seen unless you look underneath to see it?
I think I fell asleep before finding out the ONE spot you were referring to. But if I were a UA-cam, here's a smarter question I would ask myself: AM I going to attract more people by dragging them through some long-winded, condescending dissertation, or would winning g them over by getting to the point and spare them the circular references be a better approach? ......smarter question!
I think unless you are at the stage of starting our own business and the daunting thought this can represent, you can't fully appreciate the many stages of starting, operating, and more importantly, managing customer expectations. So yes, I am speaking to a very small audience with this video. A topic that by nature is rather boring, unless you are dealing with it yourself as a beginner business owner.
Welcome to Yawnsville, USA. The "spot" was never unveiled, only some philosophies. clickbait only
He doesn't tell you what it is if you haven't watched it yet. He's selling his detailing program. Nothing wrong with that but the video title is deceptive.
First!!!!!
Dude seriously are you a bot or something?

Thanks for helping me get into detailing 8 years ago. But you’ve lost me now. Unsubscribed.
So let me get this correct: 8 years ago when you were beginner, you liked my help. Now that you are 8 years into it and no longer a beginner, you disparage my help to other beginners who are in the very spot you were at 8 years ago? Got it... I guess you are what we call in life as the "takers" in the world.
