I just wanted to point this out: while I realize it's a film taking place in a fictional city and such, Willy says that he had "silver Sovereigns" in his pocket. Wonka Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Mechanic: Au Revoir, Chef! Cleaner:Sorry, Cook! Captain:Good Luck, Willy!
You can feel the passion of the director behind the camera. Wonka is the first movie in a long time to give me Mary Poppins/Bedknobs and broomsticks vibes and that is saying a lot! My only criticism would be that Willy comes off a bit too soft, even for a younger version of the character I would've expected a bit more of an edge... but during an interview the director candidly admitted he doesn’t have the same dark sense of humor that Dahl had and you know what? I respect that, his heart was clearly in the right place when he wrote the story, he respected the source material but also remained truthful to his kinder nature. This is Paul King's take on Wonka and it's growing on me 😊
@@taliagmail.com2005 I loved the little easter eggs referencing the original movie. My favorite one (spoiler if you don't wanna know) is that sweet note wrapped inside the chocolate from his mother at the end being the first golden ticket.
I love this new Willy wonka so much when he sings. Only don’t know why the kids Charlie bucket, Mike teevee, Augustus gloop, Veruca salt, violent Beauregard weren’t in this movie. Only it tells about wonka’s past before he made the chocolate factory and send the 5 golden tickets.

You know I'll be honest I wasn't really expecting much but I think I will go watch this because I actually like the mannerisms of iTmothee Chalamet portraying Willy Wonka, and I love the Roald Dahl book a lot so it was very nice seeing the set design just be so well detailed it was like stepping into what I think the world would actually look like. I think the musical bit is a bit cheesy but I do honestly love musicals and broadway shows and I think it's takes an stellar amount of work from a ton of dedicated people and I think that's worth watching the movie for. If you're needing a movie to go see and escape a little bit and just enjoy the movie instead of being critical for it I think it could well received. I am willing to give it a chance why not, it might be a kids history on what they would imagine Willy Wonka and who knows what they will create in the future that's cool to think about it.
This is great because I missed the first 10 minutes during my screening. Thought I'd have to wait until the movie was streaming so I could see what I missed haha
Such a well crafted movie. The cinematography is inspirational to UA-cam creators like us. Thank you for helping us dream and do on UA-cam Mr. Wonka and Warner Bros.!
I like to imagine the "small print" in Scrubits is what gave him the idea to do the same in his factory tour also bit more of a stretch is them drinking the gin and her saying "you can run cars on that" is what gave him the idea to make the wonka mobile
5:04-5:06 the storm drain where wonka accidentally drops his last sovereign is the same 1 that charlie finds a few decades later in the 1971 willy wonka movie not even knowing that charlie would find it😄 he even also found it in that storm drain he then used it to buy a chocolate bar not even knowing that at some point it belonged to willy wonka😊 so if willy never dropped that coin there, charlie would’ve never found it, he would’ve not bought the chocolate and find the golden ticket, charlie would struggle to find his next heir

Love this movie, opens up the heart ❤❤❤
I watched 👀 wonka 15 times just love it 😀
Btw this time I picked up he was the cook on board. In my head they had chocolate-based meals every day 😂
My favourite film of 2023. Saw it 3 times at the cinema. Each time it felt like I had just received the warmest hug 🥹🥰🩷 xx
My favourite film of 2023 as well and saw it once at the cinema
This movie was brilliant
I love musical Wonka opening scenes ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
same
Opening song start…
“Come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination”
Such a well crafted movie. The cinematography is inspirational to UA-cam creators like us. Thank you for helping us dream and do on UA-cam Mr. Wonka and Warner Bros.!
Dying for the digital release.
Gonna assume you’re like me and not in the UK
@@magicamadeye yeah :(
@@effyontheedge5133 good news it’s supposed to drop in the US next week
@@magicamadeyeWOOO!
I was so excited to hear it would be available on Amazon Prime today but bummed it’s only Amazon Prime in the UK😒 this is a fantastic movie!!
fr I'm might watch it again when it sometimes shows on the TV channels
I might wait for max in my country.
I like to imagine the "small print" in Scrubits is what gave him the idea to do the same in his factory tour
also bit more of a stretch is them drinking the gin and her saying "you can run cars on that" is what gave him the idea to make the wonka mobile
Thanks for the Intro (the Theme gets me Every Time 🥰) !!!
Such a fun and wholesome movie! I'm not normally into musicals; but when it concerns a classic like Willy Wonka, I'm all for it! 😄
I want to show this to my mommy tomorrow
One of my favorite parts of the movie that he was jump scared and dropped the pumpkin 😂😂😂😂😂 - 2:59
me when I play a horror game and I get jumpscared
What if the coin that he drops in the sewer is the same one that Charlie finds to buy his golden ticket candy bar many years later
It’s a canon event 😂
5:04-5:06 the storm drain where wonka accidentally drops his last sovereign is the same 1 that charlie finds a few decades later in the 1971 willy wonka movie not even knowing that charlie would find it😄 he even also found it in that storm drain he then used it to buy a chocolate bar not even knowing that at some point it belonged to willy wonka😊 so if willy never dropped that coin there, charlie would’ve never found it, he would’ve not bought the chocolate and find the golden ticket, charlie would struggle to find his next heir
Well after seeing this i definitely want to see it.
On the big screen is best. It's still playing in cinemas.
@@AbcDef-ww2gy well I am getting a 85 inch samsung tv so that will be as close as I can do for now lol
