Louisa “Lou” Clark (Clarke) lives in a quaint town in the English countryside. With no clear direction in her life, the quirky and creative 26-year-old goes from one job to the next in order to help her tight-knit family make ends meet.
Her normally cheery outlook is put to the test, however, when she faces her newest career challenge. Taking a job at the local “castle,” she becomes caregiver and companion to Will Traynor (Claflin), a wealthy young banker who became wheelchair bound in an accident two years prior, and whose whole world changed dramatically in the blink of an eye. No longer the adventurous soul he once was, the now cynical Will has all but given up. That is until Lou determines to show him that life is worth living. Embarking together on a series of adventures, both Lou and Will get more than they bargained for, and find their lives-and hearts-changing in ways neither one could have imagined.

One of my favorites movies of all time, I stopped watching it after I cried watching it three times. I cried and cried again, then I still watch and cry again, I had to stop watching it. I'm still watching it now, just to cry again. I love this movie. ❤

I was snowed in on a greek mountain with no tv or internet just this book. I must have read it 3 times. Whats nice is the film doesn't differ much from the book, they compliment each other. Although it's fiction it does make you think very seriously about what people with these types of injuries and their loved ones are up against.

This movie is terrible. If you've never watched it, don't. Especially young people avoid. Because it devalues a very serious subject matter. It makes one of the main characters come off as a sort of "hero" by being able to take full advantage of their free will that seems admirable.And it minimizes the value of life and the importance of suffering as an experience for life to increase in value. Just don't watch!!
