I get it, lower end stuff is more time consuming than ever to deal with. Even though I have very reasonable lowest offers set up, the "Bottom Dollar" messages are getting old.
COMC is such a rip off. 50 cents to scan and list. Then 5% to sell. Then 10% to cash out. So lets say you sell a $2 card. COMC will get 50 cent + 10 cent + 20 cent. So they get 80 cents on a $2 card. That is a 40% fee. Ebay charges roughly 13%. And what happens to the cards you send to COMC that don't sell? Well they are still making the 50 cent fee. Also COMC charges you rent of 1 cent per card per month if you keep it there. Its just a complete rip off. Keep your cards...keep using ebay.
@@GabeyCardStacksLMAO 🤣, if you value your time then stop buying low end cards and modern day cards because a majority of them will be worthless in the future.

I’ve never used COMC, but it sounds interesting. I know people use it for low end cards, but the part that makes me hesitate is that 50 cent fee. It’s an enormous amount for a cheap cards…10% for a $5 card. And then there’s the very significant delay in getting the listing up. That said, not having to do any of the work of listing, storing, shipping, etc. sounds very appealing. One of these days I’ll bite the bullet and send some in to COMC…
I think it’s fun selling on eBay. I could see why that is overwhelming but I don’t trust any human that walks this earth. Especially if I were to consign a sport card to that person I would be stressed out. I don’t care if I make 50 cents profit. 50 cents I didn’t have. Very hard to find a hobby that you can get paid to enjoy. If you do it for money McDonald’s is hiring and you are killing the hobby. Can’t wait for the crash so I can get cheap cards again.
I just started selling stuff about three months ago and the amount of haggling for $5 cards is just stupid. Or the people who go I only have $55 in the bank, would you take that for the card you listed at $60?
@@GabeyCardStacks yeah I’m looking into it also at some point I have a lot of inserts and things from Wendy hunting I want to sell so I’ll probably start filtering some of those over at some point next year. Low end cards are def hard to sell and takes up time. Like are 20 separate card sales at $1.99 w/free shipping really worth it? Even if you got those 20 cards for free, after fees and materials you are looking at making $25 (before taxes) then the time to print out the labels, the time packing, the time you took to list the cards etc.

Hopefully, you cornered the market on 2021 baseball rookies as well. It turns out 2021 is the worst year for baseball rookies in the past 20 or 30 years. It also was the year when everyone and their brother was buying baseball products - boxes, packs, hangers, etc. Most people took a bit of a blood bath from what I can tell on 2021 products.
I don't think people have much of a plan when they buy, they might see value, but actualizing value should be part of the equation as well. Where selling singles can come in handy is if you are a new ebay seller, until you make a certain amount of sales ebay will generally hold funds for a certain period and then pay you. So it's a good way to hopefully get some positive feedback, and generate sales so that you can speed up getting paid by ebay, which then allows you to buy and sell more effectively.
I 100% agree that people don't have a plan. It is amazing when people ask how much should I list it for? Well, didn't you think about that when you bought it? Let alone when people will buy bulk in the moment thinking wow I can turn all these $1 cards into $2 and just never get around it because the perceived value at the time felt right but the effort required suddenly does not
yeah I do think it might be a little longer. Last year they would fly. Even earlier this year I sent in a ton in April and it was like 4 weeks. Was bummed I wasted al that money on select haha
