Atlantis was an island kingdom made up of several islands with a city that was first mentioned by the Greek philosopher Plato. Some claim he only invented Atlantis to describe a philosophical theory. Shortly after his death, there was debate about how much of the story was true. But you are absolutely right with your alien explanation ;-)
I also spontaneously thought of Portuguese ships and the Red Cross is certainly inspired by them. In fact, the Portuguese have used other crosses and still use it on their naval sail training ship.
The size of the captain's cabin made me jealous. I don't know how they were able to set up the drums there ;-) I was also impressed by the helmsman. Even though he's standing behind the railing and can't see anything, he finds the right course.
I thought the song was weak the first time I heard it, but it gained with every listen. It's now on my playlist.

I am not 100%sure but i believe that the Armada was Spanish and defeated from English fleet.
I like the song, it's the continuation of the pirates album which i love very much, very powerful drums, nice solo and magnificent vocals from both singers, beautiful video and i like the choir, the symphonic parts.
Symphonic metal and power metal a great combination,i am headbanging all the time!!!
I believe that VoA is a great band and becoming better in each new album the two singers fixed well and their concerts and videos are cinematic!!!

Armada also exists in Portuguese and only means armed there. In English it is a fleet association, because of the Spanish Armada.
I remember from the school the famous Spanish armada which defeated from the England, I don't know if it's Spanish or Portuguese the word "Armada" and what really means.
