Seon, when you said in this video, I wanted to play the piece with no mistakes, striving for perfection according to many composers isn’t the key in the world of piano music. Everyone has their own interpretation of music to any piece in the piano genre of classical, but you are a young virtuoso at piano and I’m extremely proud of your performances cause they are simply unmatched. Take note of my quote I learnt just now from a piano composer by maybe Liszt, “The errors of a wise man make your rule, rather than perfections of a fool”. This quote means specifically that everyone has their own journey of piano playing regardless of their errors if they may never reach a virtuoso level of piano. The focus is on enjoying and being really grateful on what you can play on the piano because it certainly doesn’t mean you are a bad pianist, it’s your own unique journey of music in the piano genre you feel comfortable playing. There might be pianists out there trying to reach a virtuoso level of piano playing but even for them would have limits to performing like nearly anything in the classical piano world. What matters is that errors and even blunders in piano playing are all part of the natural things humans make in the world for everyone because the more we learn about the mistakes the more we progress. Finally Seon just wanted to say, thanks for taking note of my important letter I sent you now and I really hope it really helped you understand the aspects of life of classical piano playing. This piece is definitely impossible to play for absolutely perfection to Alkan himself who played this in his past life but your interpretation to this piece in my opinion was absolutely incredible and I was gobsmacked especially on 5:33 to make that big pause while you enter the last part of the adventure theme or whatever it’s called to add more patience of the adrenaline rush for the knight determined to win in the battlefield for victory. Thanks so much and keep up the great work and best of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! 👏😄👍💥🗡️😁🎹🎶
Yes, he really did make the entire piano sound like an orchestra playing in the background especially at the coda where he used proper pedal techniques to enchance the sonority of the piece. By far his interpretation of Le Preux by Alkan is one of the best I heard, and one thing, people are wrong about telling you to tune your piano, your video sound quality might had been poor or maybe even if the piano was slightly out of tune, the sound quality really gave an incredible Medieval timbre like poetry to the overall instrument making it feel like the past times the first grand pianos invented might had sounded like
That was absolutely incredible! I can't believe how clean you managed to get this piece-it almost seems like Alkan designed it purposefully so that pianists for centuries to come were unable to play it, but you played it incredibly! If you can manage this piece, you deserve to be ranked among the top pianists of the world.

But this piece has no tempo, at least saying in metronome marks, it just says "dans un bon mouvement", which to quote the awesome pianist arthur cimirro while he explained why alkan does not impress him, "does not mean presto"
Extremely impressed. You manage to capture the essence of the brave knight in your performance whilst many people can just about only plat the notes. A very mature, expressive performance. Alkan would be proud... Bravo!
The last 55 seconds, the End with octaves in both hands, is my favorite part of this Alkan's piece. This end is very beautiful, is wonderful, is grandious!!! I Love it very very much. ❤❤❤
On 5:33 the big pause you make here as you enter the last part of the adventurous passage of this piece, I certainly wouldn’t count that as a mistake at all, that is actually incredible because that allows more intense or unexpected moments of the Knight tackling to triumph in a battle until he eventually wins the battle and claims victory 👏😄🎶🎵🎠🎺🏰🥁⚔️🗡️🏆🥇
Despite a few mistakes in this piece, this would be left with no words coming out of my music classmates in my secondary school even the music teacher, this piece is 98% impossible to play at this fast paced tempo, especially at the coda section, where Alkan intended pianists to play rapid octave leaps such as octave bombing, the coda very pianist tried to play actually EVERY pianist failed to play flawlessly. But anyways this was just an incredible performance to Hwang here, he deserves a prolonged standing ovation for playing this piece to the best of his ability. He gave it absolute everything to perform and fair played to him.

Bro if I tried to play this I would fall of my chair in the first minute
For real you're seriously good I have only seen this and the mazeppa performance from you but they are amazing, despite the piano being out of tune I still listen to your version because of the insane skill and interpretation. I will check out more this channel is a gem

If you can play it slow, you can play it fast.
There is only24 hours in one day :P
@Ling Ling 🤣🤣
back here again to appreciate the sheer beauty of this performance. man, the way your hands are flying at the end - idk how you do it. it doesn't seem possible, but it sounds so good.
You have excellent skill on piano. And this video is the best one I have ever heard. Keep it up. Can’t wait to see more videos from you!
Bravo!! I'm amazed at your excellent performance. I would like to listen to this with more hight quality sound.
Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You had me at the edge of my chair, don't sweat the mistakes, you are amazing!
I have been waiting for a long time to hear somebody play this even half as good as you have in this video.
My own attempts of over coming such a monster of a beautiful piece led to impatience at most.
Thank you for making this video public.
Thank you so much:)
Fantastic! Beautiful performance of an almost impossible piece.
Thank you !
As Charles Valentin Alkan,I can say-EXCELLENT!!!
Love to see you re-record this with your better audio! Maybe for 20k?
fantastic performance, thanks for giving this piece it's human elements as it's rightfully deserved
Great performance! Love how well it flows and the dynamics!
Thank you so much ~!
What a first video
You and barbaro mr might be some of the best pianists on UA-cam!
Satan: "Worthless human! I demand you come and knee"!
Seonyong starts playing Alkan.
Satan: "OK, Sir, have a nice day... ciao".
LOLXD
Why does Satan speak Italian? 😂

Genius! This preformance is amazing! I cant possibly imagine how difficult it was to learn that piece! I also love your compositions!
Subscribed!;)
Thank you so much~!
With pieces like this, no wonder Liszt was intimidated playing in front of Alkan. Excellent and clean! Thank you for sharing.
You welcome. Thank you!
Holy shit dude, GREAT JOB!
What a way to kick off your channel, you should definitely redo this piece, I'd love to hear you play it with the improvements you must have made over 2 years.
