मुझे लगता है लोग ज्यादा ही anticipate करने लगते हैं, सत्ता में कोई भी हो, सब अपने देश के फायदे के लिए ही काम करते है। ना ही Conservetives और रिशी सुनक ने भारत के लिए कुछ खास दरवाजे खोल दिए थे, वरना FTA कबका साइन हो गया होता। और ना ही labour party बहुत एंटी इंडिया हो पाएगी, given the growing importance of India. Forgot the ideology of 10 years before.

And remember Ideology is temporary, benefits are permanent.

I am not sure why the Indian government is so eager to sign FTAs with so many countries despite us having a trade deficit with almost every country in the world. FTAs are beneficial for exporters like China, not importers like India. FTAs will benefit the country we sign them with and will destroy our native industries.
India is only in deficit temporarily. Also, most nations we have deficit with are those from which we import energy ( oil and gas ) for which we cannot do anything until more nuclear plants are built so FTAs are beneficial to India as well.
@@devamjani8041 India has always been in deficit except with a few countries like the US, UK, etc. So, the temporary phase seems eternal. And you're wrong in claiming that energy is the main cause behind India's trade deficit. In fact, electronics is the biggest cause of trade deficit, and it is only widening more and more. It is good to be optimistic but optimism should be based on realism. India's manufacturing sector has been stagnant for 2 decades now. How then can you call this phase temporary.
