I like motorcycle videos so I though one day why not make my own. I bought a camera and went on a trip to Romania. I filmed some rides came home and started to edit. This took forever. It took me a week next to my regular job to make one 20-30 minute video. And it sucked :D. Now the camera is somewhere on the shelf and I don't want to see it. So every youtuber producing regular videos has my biggest respect

    Hi
Thank you for your channel, I really enjoy it.
I am Italian born, living in Cape Town, South Africa. I think this is one of the best pleases for adventure riding. Although I have not been riding long (since 2009) and being vertically challenged (I am NOT tall) I have done close to 150 000 to 200 000km of adventure riding on 3 different bikes.
XT660 for less than 1 year
KTM 990 Adv until about 3 years ago (BY far the best bike I had)
    BMW GS 1200R currently.
I do mostly long trips and do NOT commute on the bike, Many trips I do solo, but sometimes with friends. My trips have taken me to most of South Africa, Namibia (multi times as this is my favorite) and Lesotho (where I experienced snow for the first time)
Because I am short all my bikes are to high for me, but I just ride them and enjoy.
Firstly if you ever have a desire to come to South Africa I could maybe assist, and meet up with you.
I am fortunate enough to go to Europe often, and hope to be in Florence in September 2024. I have a home and a car there but was thinking of getting a motorcycle. Maybe you can give me advice of what motorcycle ( in Europe they have many more makes and models than South Africa) and maybe some good routs
Just out of interested I am 62 years young.
Sorry for the long message, and hope to hear from you.

Thank you Pavlin for your work.
I have learn a lot from your videos even when I don't have ambitions to be big motorcycle traveller.
I love motorcycling since my teenage years and now I'm middle aged man. My passion was long in "sleeping mode" from different reasons and I was watching your videos for long without being active motorcyclist. Maybe your videos was helped me to return in some part. I like your way of practic and minimalistic thinking.
Your channel has changed content a little bit. I liked more this content from beggings of your channel- perspective of simply man, complete opposite of rich gs or expensive harley owner which fully equipped with his unlimited pay card can't get any emotion traveling through alps for example.
I remember your story with bulgarian wisdom about "necessity"- this kind of philosophying and connecting this with motorcycling travel was masterpiece. You do good job. Thank you again.

I would never do this. I love to collect ideas for locations, roads, themes for tours, without planning the tour as such. Sometimes I do a rough tour plan to get a feel on dimensions. And then comes the time where I think I have enough for a cool trip. That’s the time when I dig into planning the trip, as a solo long-range, leisure or two-bike leisure trip. Leisure Trip means a 3-5h trip a day (plan, actually 1-2h longer), long-range trip means a 8-9h day (again in effect 1-3h longer), Kilometers depending on avg speed by choice of roads. I make 5 plans, share with friends and as usual nobody wants to go - so I pick whatever at that moment is more interesting to me. Last year I had a friend joining on my UK and later again on my Morocco trip. For him that were experiences he never made before on a bike, although traveling a lot 20 years ago. I just take different routes than most, that’s my point, no App or Book will tell me how to go around.
I could imagine to be a Nomad for a short while, who knows, maybe longer. But that I can only do, when I’m too old for that, so it might not happen. I choose to spend every single day of my holidays on the road, on a trip, that brings me from one home to a very distant home, and I work from “home-office” in any way. My Kit gets shipped over insured, so my company can’t complain, and I avoid it being crashed or vibration destroyed or anything, even lost or stolen in countries prohibited to take it into anyways.
Thus my trips over 3 weeks (2 per year) are in the realms of 12tkm or more, typically.
I know, off-road is fun, but for me only for an afternoon or so. That’s what my EXC450 is for. All the long-range from North-Cape to the Sahara, Turkey to Scotland, Sagres to Estland is done on my Indian Bagger with no “on-top” luggage, all in the cases, they’re big enough, but low and narrow enough that they don’t bother me, not even on narrow, steep, uneven, italian, Portuguese village castle hill paths over white plaster, including turning around on that. After 95tkm, not once has the bike fallen, and no tarmac pass left over as unvinceable. I love to roll on those roads and stop in those tiny places, meeting the people there. That is what I’ll focus more in the future, go low, slow, and engage more, more local history, more local craft, more local people, more simple home-stays.

i did a lot of cycle touring when younger and loved it, including a year round europe and north africa, but reckon that if you do too much of anything, after a while it becomes the 'norm' and can lose it's attraction. work, family, mortgages etc can get in the way when older, but now i'm back to having more opportunity, doing it by motorbike instead, i find im enjoying the planning almost as much as the trips themselves, and this year i hope to do more. One thing you find out when travelling for extended periods is that it's not all joy and freedom, you have really bad days when you get miserable, lonely & just dont see the point of it, and can be reduced to tears, but the next day when the sun is shining and you're on the road again it's forgotten, you just have to work through it. Hi Pavlin, thanks for sharing your insights. I do really appreciate UA-camrs like you, who do care about their Subscribers, which is a rare thing these days. Not to mention about YT Copycats who are lazy and steel other people’s hard work. Big RESPECT - what ever your Revenue will be, you earned every single Cent of it❤❤❤

Hey mate. It is a pleasure to watch your travel videos. They are very relaxing. There's no fuss, no dabbling, its a lot of information or it fits perfectly to what's happening during the trip . Please continue your work:)
