good job in comparing the two. I'm kind of surprised the air arms is as accurate as you've shown it to be with those speeds, pretty fast for a pellet! Thanks for doing this review.
Hi Dave! Yes, the S510 is my bread and butter air rifle. I have since picked up an FX Crown which is just as lethally accurate. Thanks for checking the vid out! Cheers!
I have a new Daystate Wolverine 2 Huma and I love it. However you can double load the air rifle as Daystate changed their magazine and it no longer prevents double feed as it bypasses the little pin that prior to the newer models prevented double loading. So they took two steps backwards with that feature. Also you cannot De-Cock the rifle. Once cocked the hammer is separated from the bolt and you cannot de-cock the rifle. So prior to putting the rifle up after playing you simply have to dry fire it. Yes FX is over engineered and most of us find a pellet we like and stick with it. We learn and know what to expect out of a rifle and tend to not change. However the biggest problem with FX is the reliability. I have had two FX air rifles and had problems with both of them. Both spent more time in transit and shipping and going back and forth to the repair shop than being used. I sold them both. All that over engineering only gives room for more to go wrong. Cheers Kit
Hi Kit! I was not aware that Daystate has removed the double-load feature!!! That's a rather major feature to remove from an airgun! Wow! Haven't heard much about FX's reliability issues but hopefully it will not show up on my newly purchased Crown MKII. I must check into the new Daystate's now to see what's going on. Thanks for the info! Cheers!
Yes agreed not as good as I thought problems on both of mine also I own over 24 air rifles and had problems with several of them which when you buy new is not what you expect
I have the Wolverine R. It is impossible to double load with the new magazine. At least I haven’t had that problem. Once the rifle has been cocked, the pins can no longer operate the magazine, no matter how many times you try to cock it. Therefore it cannot be double loaded. The only way you can double load is if you use the single shot tray and forget you have already loaded, but I am sure you will notice when you pull back the cocking lever anyway. If I am distracted and forget I have loaded. I simply shoot into the ground, just in case. 🙂
Hi HD! Thanks for stopping by! Yes, I absolutely love my Air Arms S510! I've added a Crown MkII and am falling in love with that one, but nothing will unseat my AA! Cheers!
Keep at it bro your content is pretty decent. Those are both great guns, you might want to check out the HW100S or HW100KT, accuracy is definitely on a par with the Daystate and Air Arms with anti double load and hands down the best magazine system going. Weihrauch's German build quality is 2nd to none.🙂👍👍

Hello Sir, My name is Ian and I come from the UK. Thank you for your review of these two wonderful, capable air rifles. I've shot the S510, though not the Wolverine. In terms of cocking leavers, since your review, you can now buy a handle to fit the Air Arms cocking lever, that now makes it the same as the Wolverine. I've never used a cocking a lever smoother than the S510. It's so smooth I thought it ran on ball bearings. Just beautiful engineering. I've never shot a Wolverine. I like the Air Arms trigger, though I have double loaded it before today. I thought that was my stupidness, so thank you for being honest and saying you'd done the same. Personally, I'm not keen on a heavy trigger as I think it may pull your shot, so I liked the factory setting standards. I'm surprised you thought the Air Arms was heavier than the Wolverine. In terms of looks, I'd have thought the Wolverine was the heaviest. That's good to know. Thank you again for your review, in relaxed settings with no distractions. You have two beautiful, capable air rifles there. Congratulations on owning them, and I wish you great luck with h your shooting. Best wishes, Ian.
Hi Ian! Thank you for the kind words in your comments. I have enjoyed almost every minute of owning my S510! It is indeed my favorite air rifle in my cabinet. I have since parted with the Daystate, it is a very nice air rifle but could not compete for my heart strings like the Air Arms. I have replaced it with the Swedish FX Crown, which I consider the crown jewel of my collection, but still shoot my S510 99% of the time!!! It's only downfall(s) is the ability to double load and the inability to clearly see pellets in the tinted magazine. I deal with them, but wish I didn't have to. Anyways, thanks again for your comments and a pleasure communicating with you! Cheers!
@plastudios1328 Hello My friend, Thank you for replying to my message. It's lovely to message you and exchange our views on our kit. I have to agree with your points in your reply. I, too, struggle with seeing how many pellets are left in the magazine, when I've been distracted from counting. I have double loaded, too. I have, from what I remember, shot the two pellets out. What I also did after that. I purchased a length of three millimetre bar from our hardware store. It only cost me three pounds. That meant, if the barrel was four point five millimetres, I had three quarters of a millimetre at either side. I rubbed down the bar with very fine sandpaper and, at one end, whipped on a bit of handle like you would a rod ring. The front end, I filed a bull nose to protect the barrel rifling I removed the silencer, and obviously, very carefully and slowly pushed out the pellets into the breech area. It's not something I enjoy doing, though I only had to do it once, and it worked. I bought some small gauge water pipe and made a tubular case for the probe. Normally, I wouldn't put anything up any barrel apart from that and do it very carefully. Cheers, my friend, Ian.

Hi Bugsy742! I have to agree about each manufacturer dropping the ball here and there.
