Two questions.1. As a correction service does it make any difference where the base is located as I am 1600 mi away. 2. What is the subscription service cost? Thanks.

Hi Rick, you can use your own base as the base station. We have permanent base stations in Saskatoon, Calgary, and Gatineau with customers but with StormCaster you can make your own permanent base setup or use your own base receiver in the field. StormCaster is at it's best when you are using it as you would your base and rover setup with UHF radios, just instead of using the UHF radios, you are using a cell network to broadcast corrections.
At 1600 miles you could receive corrections, but I am not sure if the receiver would be able to acheive a float solution. The base and the rover wouldn't be able to see many of the same satellites. In Calgary I can connect to the Gatineau and Saskatoon base stations, but there I can't acheive a fixed solution.
