Right now, BW are making history all over the world. We are the most educated demographic in America. It's BW lawyers, D.A.'s and judges that are holding Trump accountable at this very moment. And they have NOTHING for this young BW to say or do that demonstrates her awareness of politics, social position, her incredible influence on fashion, art, political or cultural thought. It's a waste. Even at 20, she's got to be more in touch than this. And anyone involved in the world of art are usually passionate trailblazers. Let me see THAT side of Trina. Instead they have Trina giving fashionable 6th grade school teacher vibes "teaching" Spencer about "tombstones" for the paintings. Come on, he's gone to the finest boarding schools and has visited the most famous museums. He knows! These writers or A.I... need to get it together.
This is going to be a storyline that plays out during the November Sweeps and trust me I think that Portia and Trina's manipulative and dysfunctional relationship is being broken up and Portia won't be around when Spencer and Trina are finally together because Portia is so narcissistic and toxic and immature and controlling.

Why don’t we see more scenes of her navigating college or an internship instead of doing basic clerical work at Ava’s art gallery? Why don’t we see Spencer pursuing a career instead of up under Ace all the time? Why don’t we see them being carefree interacting with friends/people their own age? There’s so many different things the writers could do to spice up the drama and do the characters justice. But they’re written like an old married couple with no sex life and no interest beyond family stuff. They should be written like normal 20 year olds who go out and have fun, who navigate relationships and pursue careers. There has been absolutely no creativity, no effort, and no initiative to move the characters forward. And don’t even get me started on how they write Joss and Dex. It’s honestly just lazy writing. Sprina can actually CARRY General Hospital but the writers are determined to only use them as background supporting characters. I would love for more of the younger crowd to get more screen time.

Trina continually burdening herself with Portia/Curtis’ relationship has to be leading to a major moment where Trina learns how Portia schemed against Spencer/Trina. It’s the only reason I can think why Trina is written to be so focused on Purtis. Trina is going to go sorched earth against Portia when she learns the truth
After Greenland Trina was immediately humiliated by Spencer walking off with Esme and patting her on the back. Now she gets to make excuses for him and Esme. Her character deserves better especially after she went after him to save his life.

Its so frustrating because i used to watch gh with my mom when I was younger and I just remembered the couples always having a honeymoon phase and love scenes and even dates. The way gh makes Sprina just seems so old fashioned. They don’t go out, have no love scenes, and after Greenland they came straight back to drama with ace and esme. They constantly let outside voices control their relationship and barely have Spencer spending time with Trina. Its just really sucks because this shows knows how to write a good power couple, they’re just choosing not too and wasting all their chemistry

Lately Trina scenes seem like a waste of time I mean didn’t she just have this conversation the other day with her mother and spencer. How many times does gh have Trina repeat the same conversation. What women in their 20s goes around worried about everyone’s else’s problems or marriage etc. Sense gh never gives Trina and spencer time to figure out their own problems they should find something else for the character of Trina to do this is boring.

Remember, this is the same mother running around berating Spencer about burdening her daughter with his troubles, yet she is just as guilty if not moreso because she's been doing it for years. Trina's been conditioned to be a people pleaser due to her mom's Histrionic behavior over the years. Everytime her mom puts on the theatrics aka fake tears and victimhood there's Trina trying to prevent it from happening in order to maintain peace and calm within the household. Empaths are deeply affected by human emotion. This is also her trying to control this situation and prevent it from spiraling. There's a lot of info on the "Emotional Clinging Mother" as well as Parentification and how that can stunt a child's emotional growth. Children/daughter's who grow up this way end up sacrificing their happiness for the self centered mother whose life isn't all that great. Any attempts of the daughter trying to pull away or carve out her own life is met with opposition by the mother. She becomes unhinged at thought of her daughter having any sort of life that exists outside of her and will stop at nothing to prevent it from happening.

Sometimes I wonder if Trina is hyper focused on Portia and Curtis to distract herself from the ridiculous drama playing out with Spencer, Esme and Ace. She’s trying to fix Portia and Curtis because she doesn’t want to tackle fixing herself and Spencer. Their situation is too intense and unpredictable. She wants some measure of control and also distance. If things are her fault, that means there is something she feels she can do to fix it. And if it blows up she’ll be sad yes but she wouldn’t be heartbroken by it. This makes more sense to me than whatever the hell they have her saying. I know she cares about her mother and Curtis but blaming herself for the shit show they’ve made out of their marriage is practically out of space behaviour. Also when Taggart becomes an addict, we’ll see Trina again blaming herself when she shouldn’t. I’d prefer if she blamed Portia. Portia’s delivered so many blows to that man, it should be criminal. I’m still hoping Ms. Wu changed the DNA results to keep Curtis in town so she could run her business as usual uninterrupted.

If you remember last summer and fall trina ran around port Charles confiding in Ava and joss about how she liked Rory but wanted to be with spencer well this is the same thing just a different year. Gh will have spoilers from September to December about trina confiding in joss and Ava about the same things.
If and when any good writers comeback to GH..lol. this is what I'd like to see for our girl Trina. A major character development...her independence. Who is she now becoming? What does she want out of life? What has she learned so far? Has she realized and learned how to de-center Spencer when he de-centers her? She's got solid work she loves, so let's get her in her first apartment. Okay. School is starting. Is she taking classes? New friends on the horizon? They are writing this young woman so BORING, weighed down by other people's problems. Now I do like all the flowers that are framing Trina in the scening. A symbol of her undeniable blossoming
Definitely convinced these scenes were meant to be cut bc we literally had this conversation and based on the outfits it’s the same day…continuity error. Same assessment as how I felt when she talked to Spencer. Need Trina to not carry so much burden. And I’d like to hear Curtis and Portia ask her to let them handle their own marriage Still trying to invest in this Curtis thing, but I’m struggling. I’ve heard Curtis was more likable when he first came on, maybe I would need a deeper history to like him more. I love Trina, but his relationship with her doesn’t make me more invested in his character.
Taggert has been completely dismissed after being her father for 20years. Taggert was a loving supportive father. Deal with his character with respect!

In case you haven’t looked it up, GH is being written by temp writers at the moment (not scabs per se) and because of that, no major changes to a character can happen (I.e. killed off, married, etc). All we’re going to get until the writers come back to work are cyclical conversations and out-of-character actions.
I think that Portia is being set up for a serious downfall and there will be no one to help her and she has no clue that her downfall is coming which I think will make Portia's downfall even more humiliating and I think that was the point.

Same assessment as how I felt when she talked to Spencer. Need Trina to not carry so much burden. And I’d like to hear Curtis and Portia ask her to let them handle their own marriage
Still trying to invest in this Curtis thing, but I’m struggling. I’ve heard Curtis was more likable when he first came on, maybe I would need a deeper history to like him more. I love Trina, but his relationship with her doesn’t make me more invested in his character.
Taggert has been completely dismissed after being her father for 20years. Taggert was a loving supportive father. Deal with his character with respect!
@@bonniewynn8476Fans were concerned about this when the story started to unfold. For some reason, gh tells these paternity stories where Blood is more important than actively being a parent. I wish they just let Taggert be a part of this story bc his reactions have been more memorable than what we’ve gotten from Portia or Curtis. His erasure is nonsensical and unrealistic.

In case you haven’t looked it up, GH is being written by temp writers at the moment (not scabs per se) and because of that, no major changes to a character can happen (I.e. killed off, married, etc). All we’re going to get until the writers come back to work are cyclical conversations and out-of-character actions.

I think that Portia is being set up for a serious downfall and there will be no one to help her and she has no clue that her downfall is coming which I think will make Portia's downfall even more humiliating and I think that was the point.
@lisacox3750 Portia has never been that interesting as a character and that's the real problem. When has anyone really rooted for things to work out for Portia? Portia is getting upstaged by Trina and Portia can't just get out of her own way and it's clear that Portia will alienate Trina and the rest of her family and end up being as hurt and humiliated as possible.
I am happy Curtis is going home to his family, sending all positive vibes for Curtis and Portia making their marriage work 👍👍
