Hey all, Liam from Killer Ink here, and today I’m going to be showing you the range of Sunskin Small-V coil tattoo machines.
    So let’s take a closer look…
The Small-V is the result of a merger between the classic style of Sunskin’s historic Round Back Jones and the modern stylings of its Big-V machines.
With such a high demand for the Small-V coil machines over the years, Sunskin has developed a number of variants featuring different technical solutions and settings.
Up first is the Iron Liner, which was specifically-designed for working in a true old school style, thanks to its traditional settings.
As its name suggests, the Sunskin Small-V Iron Liner features an iron frame and is suitable for lining. It also includes 10 wrap coils and is smaller than the larger brass versions that we’ll come to soon.
The Iron Liner weighs in at 220 grams and we recommend you use needles from a 5 to 9 Round Liner.
Similar to the Iron Liner is the Sunskin Small-V Iron Traditional Liner, which has the same iron frame and 10 wrap coils, but it has been specifically-tuned for creating traditional tattoos.
The Iron Traditional Liner tops the scales at a slightly lower 210 grams, with the recommended needles range being between a 9 and 18 Round Liner.
Next up are the Sunskin Small-V Pro Liner and Pro Fine Liner, which are similar in size to the Iron models, but feature a brass frame.
Thanks to their lighter weights and smaller sizes, the Small-V Pro versions are more compact and balanced.
Both the Pro and Pro Fine Liners have been assembled with 8 wrap coils to help them excel at lettering and work with thin lines, with the Pro Fine Liner in particular able to create super thin lining work.
Sunskin’s Pro Liner weighs in at 225 grams, with the Pro Fine Liner shaving off an extra 5 grams for a total weight of 220 grams.
We recommend using Round Liners between 5 and 9 for the Pro Liner version and between 3 and 7 for the Pro Fine Liner variant.
The Small-V Evo Pro Brigante Lettering Signature and Evo Pro Brigante Lettering Limited Edition are very similar to Sunskin’s Pro and Fine Liners.
Both of these coil machines also feature a brass frame, 8 wrap coils and are suitable for lining, specifically lettering, as their names suggest. They also both weigh in at 225 grams and are recommended for use with 3 to 11 Round Liners.
Only 250 examples of the Evo Pro Brigante Lettering Limited Edition were made by Sunskin, so get them while you can!
Last but not least in the brass frame department is the Sunskin Small-V Evo Old Black Liner. This machine is different to the other brass models as its frame has been given an Old Black finish and it receives 10 wrap coils instead of 8.
The Evo Old Black Liner is specially-suited for lining, weighs in at 225 grams and is recommended for use with 7 to 14 Round Liners.
The final model in our Sunskin Small-V range is the Evo Bronze Liner, the only coil machine in our Small-V line-up to feature a bronze frame.
Aside from the bronze frame, the Sunskin Small-V Evo Bronze Liner is similar to the Evo Old Black Liner in that it has 10 wrap coils, weighs 225 grams, is suitable for lining, and is recommended for use with 7 to 14 Round Liners.
Each and every Small-V model from Sunskin would be perfect for artists looking for a new coil tattoo machine that is dedicated to lining, and they are all available to order from Killer Ink via the link in the description below.

What Machine should i use if i wanna do traditional and neo-traditional with bold lines, and a machine that will last forever but for a good price, and another question, why does my mickey sharpz machine that i bought from your shop heat up all the time?

Hey Tobias, the traditional liner in the range can go up to 18rl, the standard goes up to 14rl and the lettering liner is up to 11rl. In regards to the Micky Sharpz, there could be a few factors as to why it's heating up, feel free to drop us an email at info@killerinktattoo.co.uk and we would be happy to discuss it in more detail with you.
