I’m OK with them omitting Max and Allison, but Danny is a must. I was really really, really hoping that in Hocus Pocus two we were going to get Danny to come back as of which herself to mentor the girls who unknowingly awoke the Sanderson sisters.

I couldn't stand HP2 and won't be bothering with the next film.
Seeing the 3 ladies back was awesome and the 3 actress' that play the young versions of the Sanderson sister were fantastic. The rest was ok. They really should got the original director back as well as the 3 original young cast.
It needs to go back to the classic form like it was in the 1st one. I watched the second one and that is a one and done for me. Whereas the first one I could watch that over and over again.
I don't know why they felt the need to make the second one more of a musical. It was so random and felt out of place.

Loved Hocus Pocus 1, that was the best!! Hocus Pocus 2, missed the mark. I read the books and the Book for #2 was so different from the movie, I was waiting for it, and was disappointed. If they do #3 we need the original cast with the book 2 story which was great.
If they do a third we want Max, Dani, Allison, and KENNY ORTEGA BACK TO DIRECT. I’d also personally love the Sanderson Sisters to be disguised in modern clothing for a bit hehe, Just to see what they’d look like as like Businesswomen/Mothers

Eh. HP2 had a few bright spots, but, the move away from the original tone was disappointing, as was the ending. If we do get a third, the tone needs to be restored and Winnie needs to go back to classic total villain. Also PS: They actually went into a grocery store in the first film but the scene was deleted.

Hocus Pocus 2 was an insult to the original. I couldn't even finish it. Terrible script that gave the Sansersen sisters almost nothing to do but repeat the gags from the first film, constructing the skeleton of a story around the rehash moments to please the nostalgia, which is really the only reason it was made. It became unwatchable as soon as Winifred passed a house where they were watching the first Hocus Pocus. This violated the very reality of the story - the first film never became a film in that world. Awful. But I LOVE the timeless Miss M. She deserves better material.

Hocus Pocus two for me with such a profound disappointment, to make hocus-pocus three worthwhile the writers are really gonna have to fight that uphill battle. I’m hoping they can do it, but I worry that the franchise has gone in a completely opposite direction.
They need to bring back the Max, Dani, and Allison or they need to stop. Even then, it will still be bad.

There was a book sequel. I remember reading it a long time ago, but although I know I enjoyed it, I don't remember much of it because it was so long ago that I read it.
The sequel wasnt great… best scenes were with the witches. The other scenes were crap… i think its a case of too long since the orig & should be left as a great standalone iconic film

Get rid of the overacted Disney kids in the modern timeline and the 3rd would be better. They ruined the dynamic and what the movie could've been because they were too Disney channel. The sisters are the over the top ones, not everyone else.

Yeah is 2 how you guys really want to end it? 2 was astoundingly bad. Bring back the originals characters and make it actually funny without worrying who you’re going to offend and you might actually have a descent movie.
The second one was missing the classic Disney channel heart that the original teens brought to it back in the 90's. This second was pretty much down with the patriarchy...and yeah, up with the drag-queens and wokeness! Nope! It was bad!
