Ok VERY random little aside about the Aliens toys here and I'm assuming none of the triforce guys are going to read a random comment by some pleb on the internet but here goes... The reason why you saw the Aliens merch coming out in 1992 (which I owned a crapton of) was because there was an Aliens cartoon series in the works called Operation Aliens (yes really...I mean we had a Robocop Cartoon series, a Rambo cartoon series etc.) however it never got off the ground. Here is a little video on it: ua-cam.com/video/IKkhrPr3K5U/v-deo.html
I like the saving at checkpoints system, provided the time between checkpoints is not supidly long. I really like Stoneshard, But I dislike Darksouls. Darksouls is what I call 'fake-hard' its the simon says of combat games, you just have to remember how to deal with every enemy, and remember what happens in a certain room, and then you wont die as much. Take something like God-hand for a comparison, where its difficulty, slowly ramps up, and you can tell when an enemy is about to do a move, you can actually fight multiple opponents in god-hand the game gives you the tools to deal with it, but it will be harder. Darksouls is an RPG, you can just grind your way trough the game, and pretty much every playtrough I see of the game, is people cheesing bosses, and doing anything in their power to avoid a straight up fight. Darksouls tricks the player into thinking its a challanging game, when its actually really really easy. It just requires that you have played it atleast once, hence the wide appeal of the games.
Watching this on delay, because you know, quarantine/lockdown all that good stuff :) Pyrion: If they want to stop it they should close everything for 2 weeks. Europe: Lets make it 4 :D
I agree with the idea of a game just being unfair rather than difficult in a way that makes you learn and get better but I hate when people suggest that Dark Souls fits that description. If you're not learning when you die in Dark Souls then you're not paying attention.
Plus if you're saying Dark Souls works like that then you're wrong too. A lot of stuff that will get you killed are telegraphed if they're attacks, or they can be noticed before they're screwing you over. An example he used was mimics, which look different from regular chests and can be killed so they don't instakill you.
Maybe the people who run that football team can put him on a reserve list or something so he can train with his friends but won't be in any matches unless someone else couldn't play? He'll probably get better with practice anyway. Then the one time he gets put in the game he might impress the coach and be put in more games? In any case talk to the coaches and explain why it's important that he gets some role on the team even if it's just so he isn't left out in other areas as well because he's the odd one out. Being left out at such a tender age can really mess with a kid.
Sips comparing people with no arms and no legs, flying around with jet packs, trying to play soccer, to rocket league, was the best thing I’ve ever heard in my life

My older brother had the 12"/30cm G.I. Joes from the 60's & 70's. Loved those things. Anyway, this episode got me to read Wikipedia's G.I. Joe article where I found out they were first released in 1964. It was in in 1982 that poor G.I. Joe was shrunk by 8" and that Cobra Command stuff appeared. Had no idea Joe was licensed to other countries with all sorts of other names like "Action Man" and "Joe Super Temerario". Here's Eddie Murphy in 1984 with a bit about the shrinking of G.I. @@elahem6940 yes however despite normally being very critical of Cali I will say this isn't that crazy. They did this so Cities can pull money out of their City funded programs and spend it on preparing for the virus knowing that the money will be returned to the programs by the State and the feds. The States can also declare emergencies like this and get reimbursement from the feds.
So its not like they just get completely free money it has to be used for the emergency. I believe there are spending rules that have to be followed but I'm not knowledgeable enough to tell you what they are.

I remember the same thing in my school, everyone collected and trade Pokemon cards, but no one played the actual game, I dunno if it just wasn’t a fun game? Dragon's Lair did give hints (elements on screen would flash for 2-3 seconds to tell you where to go). And it WAS a cartoon, it was a laserdisc game.
