- Geologist Ian Plimer says Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen “doesn’t know very much” and is “not too bright”.
“Unfortunately, I think he’s making a fool of himself far too often,” Mr Plimer told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise, because I suspect that Chris Bowen will be the one that’ll bring down the Labor government.”
I can confirm categorically that Chris Bowen is far from the sharpest tool in the shed. He is an embarrassment to all the intelligent people in the energy sector.

Massive land clearing and resource requirements to build "renewables", lifespan and disposal doesn't make these a "green" alternative by any metric.
Renewables is the correct word...solar panels and wind turbines need to be renewed every 15 to 20 years at great cost!
I am a huge fan of Mr.Plimer, what I have said in the past, Mr. Plimer with Sen Malcolm Roberts and Allen Jones team up and takes Climate Change rubbish up to Labor, Greens, and the Teals. What an interesting debate it would be, I know who would come out a clear winner.
I agree 100% Ian Plimer has been a hero of mine for many years. Reading his books keeps me sane in a world full of clowns. It would be a great debate but not even climate alarmists are stupid enough to walk into a real debate with a real scientist - they would be humiliated on every front. I would enjoy it immensely. The UK has 15 nuclear power stations. You can fit all of the UK into Queensland 7.5 times. They have no issues for the the last 50 years with this type of power station.
Sometimes people are so dumb, it insulates them from any form of embarassment.
Bowen needs to be held to account for his crimes against us. It is his job as energy minister to keep the power flowing and flowing cheaply. He is causing economic collapse, and taking vatst amounts our money for doing so.

I recommend Michael Moore's documentary, Planet of the Humans. Moore can be dismissed as a climate denier, he has made the documentary freely available online.
A basic thesis of the film is that green energy cannot solve the problem of society's expanding resource depletion, which is by definition unsustainable given that the Earth is finite.
The film argues that green energy sources, including wind power, solar energy, and biomass energy are not truly renewable or sustainable.

We should be looking to countries like Japan for nuclear power technology. They use a proven process of recycling waste from their reactors to create new material, place it back into reactors, and therefore reducing the overall waste created. Additionally, what people seem to ignore when the nuclear debate is raised, if we where to build nuclear powers station in Australia it would be with 2020+ technology, not 1950's technology.
In Finland, we have embraced nuclear power. We have Europe's most powerful nuclear reactor with Olkiluoto 3, and we have a way of storing nuclear waste for a casual 100 thousand years. Modern nuclear power is pretty good, it is not the thing of the past that people fear. From what I've seen, a lot of the fears and disagreements these days seem unwarranted.
I believe $400 billion has been spent over the last 30 years into renewable. So far, it only amounts to a measely 5% of total ebergy supplied. Sounds like a RUBBISH return in investment.
