- Paruppu Podi is an aromatic, flavourful, protein packed and ready-to-eat powder with hot steamed rice. It is so simple to prepare with the readily available ingredients in our kitchen. Roasting those proportions of lentils and spices as indicated in the video, provides the fresh aroma & flavours, and can be maintained by storing in an airtight container for about a month! This powder is a must have in any household, tastes best with hot steamed rice by mixing with a generous amount of ghee or gingelly oil at the start of a meal.

Ingredients:
½ cup Toor Dal
½ cup Roasted Gram Dal
5 Dry Red Chillies
5 Byadgi / Kashmiri Chillies
10 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Pepper
½ tsp Asafoetida
1 sprig Curry Leaves
1 tbsp Crystal Salt
3 tsp Oil
