I almost have the same build except for the necklace and the offhand. I use omoroth necklace and beak which gives gives me total of 77% evasion while still able to allocate for more crit and damage. In order to make the evasion 90% i just eat a cooked dish with elder dragonfish in it because it gives +14% evasion for 10-13min.
There's that glass bead ring that increases damage by 30% but also increases damage taken by 30%. It makes me wonder how close to 90% dodge chance I can get while using the glass bead ring and sort of circumventing that damage taken penalty. Edit: Ran the math and it would actually be pretty easy to skip out on one of the white glass rings and still reach 90% without over-optimizing armor if you just take the dodge chance skills. If you're curious though, the armor set with the highest dodge chance is Sunglasses, Pandorium chest, and Caveling legs (31% dodge chance). Sunglasses only provide dodge chance and nothing else, though, and there's enough wiggle room to swap in a more functional head piece like ninja or caveling
I believe in the skill tree you can raise dodge chance by standing still for a short duration, couple that with the range skill tree, standing still does more damage with range, a ranged build would go hard
Got myself to 90% dodge in my own game. :D Used the Chaos helm and chest with the caveling pants... I think. also built myself a full movement speed build. Got myself to 220% without food buffs. This one is proving to be particularly useful.
Ive been twitch streaming this game with the title "Becoming a ninja in core keeper" on my 3rd stream, i fished the entire ninja set, hadnt fished anything else in the game and it only took like an hour tbh. So realistically id strongly recommend ninja over caveling. But personally im going for huge consistent crits, not dodge lol. Its just nice to see that dodge message instead of taking a hit every now and then. Maxing dodge just seems silly. It might be easier though tbh, you get to take your time. On my max crit build i sometimes just end up stabbing relentlessly hoping the thing dies before i do haha. Higher dodge would make it a lit easier to get some distance and heal. But the kill would take way longer overall
I just use the upgraded obliteration ray (Stormbringer) with life gained on melee hit gear. I gain like 40+ life per hit and hit up to 4 mobs at a time, 5 times per second (200 to 800 life gained per second) No idea why it works, but apparently that laser drill thing scales with mining damage and melee attack speed. Edit - I do about 800 per tic (2.5k on a crit) so it melts pretty much everything instantly too.
@@lucherjack2724 For bosses I use the Solarite armor set with clot rings and the Azeos Beak Necklace + Core Iris. But the Cosmos armor set with Topaz Rings is what I use normally because you mine faster and deal more damage.
An interesting build. I might try it in the future if they ever give us a talent or item to let us get a percentage of dodge chance added to damage. I'm more of a "the best defense is a good offense" type.
Rng is really something else. It probably took me like 700+ casts to get the full set because I kept getting duplicates. Finally when I got the helmet, I fished up the other 2 set items in the next 2 casts. Back to back to back. wtf
How’s your health past 2k? I maxed out my armor, my accessories and ate all the special foods for maximum hp but I can only get to mid 1,200s. I’ve even defeated all the bosses and used their special perks.
@@SerrohAscended @MoonstarMix the chestplate for example from basic to level 19 get +4% which doubles it in the end so it's kinda significant, and you can start upgrading way before ninja gear so yeah upgrading is useful
@@SerrohAscended Yes it would be OP but I think it should be the player's decision if he wants to play like that. And onehit builds are also completely OP

on average over 1000 attacks you will be hit about 100 times, it might not be consistent on a single attack but out of a larger testpool it will

I have 90% dodge without the “stop moving 25% buff” using ninja gear

I think you should do a full 1.0 playthrough from scratch, maybe like a 100% guide?
Can you do maximum ARMOR build?
can you do a base showing; trying to get ideas of what areas i want within my base area
Thank you for explaining how indipendent events probability works, most people misunderstand it
what's the point of using the caveling set and pointing out that its easier to get early if you would still upgrade it to max level?
probably where he says you don't have to upgrade it in that same breath
You don't have to upgrade it to max. Upgrading it doesn't give it that much of a boost. The default is still very good.

getting hit all 50 out of 50 times with a 90% dodge chance is a 0.005% chance btw
I use nearly the same build. its soooo sad with the 90% cap :/

hows your damage stats?
What’s the food you use??
Cooking a Glistening Deepstalker (26% base chance fish from shimmering water) gives you the highest dodge chance out of all ingredients (+13%)
The 90% cap have always been there man and i been playing since 2021 so idk what you meant with making it to 100% on your old video !!
Nope, we used to be able to get 100%
How is your ring level 165?
