Edmund O'Brien had a well-recognized voice at the time and was a perfect choice for a radio detective series like this. The show far outlasted him, though - he was still a movie star - and the series would take on at least two more voice-actors and last 20 years. While those first few transition-episodes were unpleasing - solely due to the actor change - they each took over and made the show go further, and longer. ARCHIVE ORG's Old Time Radio section has a couple of hundred episodes.
Great episode, thanks
WooHoo! Thank you 🥳😍
