@Wagner Nogueira I'm curious, what is it about? Because musically sounds like some kind of... When hardcore/djent bands do slowpaced epic choruses, so I don't really dislike it 😂
It’s actually a click track. The audio that is currently playing is the audio coming through the drummers ear bud. You can actually hear a voice counting off at certain points to help the band stay on track. Click through and you can watch the drummers perspective vs audience perspective video.
I can tell worship music from the drum beat alone. Ok now time for the mandatory breakdown to buildup to bridge. I played worship sets with my eyes closed and no limbs
Haha! Yes I could tell that exactly from the first few full band vids DeBolt posted! I play for my high school worship team, but I also play for the local big band jazz group. It’s so fun and I love it! Btw you’re drums sound so good! Also is that WayMaker?
I just thought I couldn’t understand english. I was wondering if this was gospel music. The singers and the crowd confirmed it. This was absolutely beautiful
I don't think people in the comments get about the powerful moment or what this video demonstrates perfectly, the pure emotion and passion it takes to be a performer. The feeling of yourself performing in a massive venue with tens of thousands of people watching and having an amazing time in the climax of the song. The drummer in this is the one driving the song forward building up the tension to be released towards the end of the video. Many people confuse powerful moments as drummers for chopping out or soloing but it really means the energy of that tension release. All I see is true passion in this video and few people will ever get to experience this in their lifetime. Cherish it. Also click tracks are necessary for that kind of venue because if you know a single thing about physics is sound delay and it's very easy to get thrown off by something and the drummer needs to keep time. You'd be surprised by how many famous drummers use click tracks for venues like this. So in conclusion, keep living the dream.

It’s either one of the musicians or possibly even someone off stage directing the band using what’s called a “talk back” microphone. The talk back mic is only heard in the band members’ monitors(like the clicking), not by the audience. When he’s saying “THREE”, he’s telling the band to play the 3 chord (lookup Nashville Number System). The band is likely improvising the flow of the song at this point which is where direction through talk back mics really come in handy. For example, the director could say something like “let’s build up here and go back into the chorus” or “repeat bridge again”
Thats what I was thinking. And they did it without click tracks or whatever in their ears.. music is really disappointing nowadays unless you know where to look.
