- Adriana Lima is best known as Victoria’s Secret's longest-running model, who was contracted with the lingerie company from 1999 to 2018. But before she became Victoria’s Secret’s most recognizable face, she was discovered when she won first place in Ford’s “Supermodels of Brazil” model search in 1996.

I worked with her once when I was an assistant makeup artist (before becoming a celebrity makeup artist) to Laura Mercier on a Victoria Secrets shoot. Some of the other girls were really snotty, or just ignored me since I was still at that time an assistant. Adriana went out of her way to talk to me and make me feel comfortable. She was totally sweet.

The last year Adriana walked the VSFS was also the last VSFS. I personally don't believe it will come back, at least not the way it once was.
I used to work for the company. And their aesthetic is that of skinny skinnier and skinniest!!! It's disgusting and disturbing to say tha least!! Victoria secret can't keep up with the way the world is today in regards to the large differences in body types!! So I agree with you on this one.
@@kerryalfaro7353 I know! Once I met a model who used to follow the "Victoria's Secret diet" before her photo session. She described me the diet, and I thought that no matter how hard any normal woman tries, there is simply no way to even approach the body type VS promotes. As many lingerie and active wear brands are embracing diversity and body types closer to what women look like in real life, VS should understand that times are changing. Also, in the after-Covid reality yet to come, I don't believe it will be profitable, and even feasible, to put together such an expensive fashion show.

Adrianna is a true classy woman. Met her at a Victoria's Secret store years ago before they banned Fashion Night Out in NYC and she was so graceful and sweet to everyone, even me. Even cracking jokes etc. That store was PACKED and the line went out around the block but she maintained poise throughout and signed autographs for everyone. There were other super models there who were much more cold and reserved

Yes they do... magazines report on men’s diets for action movie rolls all the time. Just look up their names, the movie, and diet. They always say it’s a lot of protein, veggies, and weight lifting.
I understand the point you’re making is generally and mostly the truth. But in that example, I think you’re wrong. Some people definitely ask him about his fitness regimen. Same with Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Mark Wahlberg, etc. But I think there’s still a HUGE difference, and it’s definitely unhealthy how our culture treats women’s bodies.

After seeing Adriana's daughters I realize just how strong her Asian genes are, since she's Japanese, Black and Brazilian, that's where she gets that gorgeous, exotic beauty from.

The reason why she’s ‘exotic’ is because she has tan skin, dark hair, and light eyes, which is considered exotic. Her race/ethnicity doesn’t have anything to do with this.

And it doesn't matter what percentage the ethnicity is, my ex had extended family that were all white caucasian, as well as their parents apart from one cousin who was very dark skinned from his half Burmese Grandfather. Genes passed down from parents can be expressed anytime.
