Bro I literally cannot thankyou enough. I took my iPhone 6 in for repair because it had battery problems and it came back and the camera was funny. It wasn’t focusing where I pressed and would just focus on the things closest to the phone. I literally tried everything and nothing worked and then I came to your video and nothing worked until I tried the banging the back of my phone on the palm of my hand. Honestly I didn’t think it would work but wow. It’s working perfectly again and I’m so happy that it doesn’t have to go in for repair again

I have an iPhone 6, and I've spent the past 5 hours hard reseting, factory restoring, and banging the back and sides of my phone to get my rear camera to stop being blurry with no luck. After watching this video I tried hitting the front of my phone instead and it started focusing on the first try... such a simple solution but you don't understand how grateful I am since I was ready to throw this thing out the window

For someone who has been having this issue for over a year now, I am very impressed with this tutorial. I had to bang my phone against the palm a couple times and it actually focused. 10/10 would recommend.
Remarkably it worked..I tried them all just to be on the safe side..This was driving me crazy trying to film stuff for my channel but all good now..Thanks mate..
I’ve given up. The hitting method actually worked when I had a problem with my camera last year, but then it went blurry again. I went to a repair shop who cleaned it for me and that improved it, but then it went blurry again. Tonight, I replaced the camera and it was still blurry, so I took the lens out and you guessed it, it’s still blurry gshsgdjsbahskd 😭 It’s not as bad as it was last year but the top half of the pictures are out of focus. Now I’m guessing it has to be a software problem, but I’ve tried resetting it and updating it. I’ve run out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated haha 😊

your phone 7 is still under warranty. bring it to any apple store and you will get a replacement.
You just need to clean the camera. Mine too didn't work. I accidentally open it while hitting on my palm. The camera full of dust.

I was really struggling with the focus for a very long time on my iPhone 6s Plus. I did everything I could till I saw this video & basically a tip is don’t hit the lens directly, you have to tap the sides of it & you can be a little rough on it since thats just metal panel. Although you don’t wanna act like a monster & do permanent damage

iPhone X here, though the camera was actually broken as I bought it used. I wiped it down SOOO many times, After doing AE lock, and then cleaning the lens with my shirt and air, (Note I did not exit the camera app), refocusing MAGICALLY made it look AMAZING, every photo i've taken the past year has sucked, no more! Thank you, man.

Thanks for your help. My front lens (iPhone 6) was not focusing on far objects. I tried all these methods including reset but I think what worked was the tapping and the whacking. The theory is that if the phone had dropped down at some point, this may create some contact or dislodgement issues, and tapping it reconnects the circuitry. Apple will be quick in asking you to repair/ replace your lens, but it's possible that they just reset it which is why its a quick fix.

Hi...thank you for posting this video...The phone (+6) has been having blurry and double vision issues...and I did notice if I shake or tap the phone side to side it actually straightens out the error and the phone returns to focus mode. I thought I was crazy but your suggestions made total sense...even if at times sounds funny to fix the issue by smacking the phone continuously...I have Reset All Settings as you suggested but unfortunately, I'm going to continue smacking my phone around. BUT thank you for making me realize...I'm not the only one doing this. OMP

OMG, the tapping worked! Actually my problem was that HALF the photo was not focused. I had to switch from tapping with just my finger to rapping it with 2 knuckles (like knocking on a door) due to my small hands, but it worked! You are a genius, thank you!
