All the fields look like a well loved quilt that someone sewed and its tells such a sweet story. So beautiful. There is a sweet girl out thee for you Cole just be patient and make sure she loves crops, cattle, dirt, and manure and then you know she will always be by your side. She may even have a couple of blue roan cow ponies all ready to go. Ha ha
Great production Sonne Farms. This takes me back about 18 years ago bailing in 4 counties and keeping up with 4 balers with a Haying Manits stacker truck. The hardest part was keeping the truck operational. Cheers Gentlemen. God Bless.
Hi Cole and family hope you all are doing good today.God bless you and your family today and always. I am enjoying watching you and your family on the Farm .God Bless you all.
Thanks for letting go with you on your day of raking. I'm sure there are many hours put in behind the wheel. I appreciate your vid an the time you spent on it.
Your such a great son telling dad you dropped the fork. 😊 Kinda scary running over unknown things. Happy you saw the tree. Haha! Awesome watching all the tractors working together.
Really enjoy your blogs. I grew up on a farm at Britton. My sister has a crop farm by White Lake, So.Dakota. But she lives in Mitchel now part of the time. Keep the videos coming, enjoy the bound your family has.
Hey Cole man! You'll be the "BEST Man" for sure at that wedding. Sweep them honeys off their feet with those blue eyes! Hope we get to see part of the wedding video.💥🇨🇦💥💥💥🇨🇦
Nice work on the baling ! We finished baling at our farm last week. Neighbor Ned asked if he could use a few of them to go for a hay ride. Of course, we said he could. I asked him the next day how it went and he said he and his family didn't go. He said they couldn't figure out where the ignition was on the bales to start the hay ride. I offered to let him use the bales we made after we combined wheat, but he said he heard dad yelling at me and saying that was the " last straw" so he didn't want us to run out. Congrats on the wedding! Weddings are a lot cheaper here since the bride doesn't have to change her last name most of the time.
@joe mathis I understand. One of my other neighbors, Bobo, has the same problem. His last name is Smith, but he has alcohol blackouts and has to have his wife write his name in his underwear in case he forgets. Only problem is that he was a little blitzed when he renewed his driver's license and his new ID says, " Bobo Underarmor".
My #First time at raking grass. Sitting in the seat with you is AWESOME. I see them doing same thing all around me. Nothing beats being in the tractor and driving around gathering grass and bouncing! 👍😊👍
Looked like some good hay. Jealous!! Hahaha and your reaction when u hit the whole was priceless. My face probably does the same thing. Or when I hit a stump. Haha
Your older Videos come on on my You Tube and I go back and watch then. I like it when you talke to the cattle and the just stare back at you. Where di you get your back ground music You Use in the drone shots. ?
Another great video! I really like how you find those interesting camera angles and of course those drone shots are gorgeous. Also congrats to Robbie and Sarah and I hope the wedding was all they could have wanted! Have a great day :)
Love your energy on the Fourth of July I totally get that feeling. Raking and bailing is always fun to watch. Just don’t fall in a hole. Congratulations to Rob and Sarah- saw your Instagram stories and you all looked so good! You’re really handsome. 😊 I hope you’re going to include some footage of you dancing 😂
when you see all that go's to raking bailing to feed the animals which feed us all, that is serious love , one small part of what it takes , awesome drone work , Peace Blessings Craig
Gotta tell ya, this city boy is learning an awful lot about farming, thank to you and your videos! I have a new appreciation for all the hard work you do! I had no clue how involved it is! Thank you!
Another great video. So cool to see the multiple tractors working together to get all that work done. Next video will be you stacking all those bales eh?
Wow, I can’t say it often enough- your drone footage is just amazing! Makes me wonder how often you lost a camera when you attached it to a tractor. You saying you get off work at five, lol. Good one. Another fun video, thanks for showing all of the hard work that goes into cutting and balding hay. 👍👍❤️🌾🌾🚜🚜
Brian and Cole , I get that you are putting up a crap ton of hay. So how much is a crap ton? How many cuttings? How much grass hay vs. alfalfa? Do you sell any? Is the grass hay for feed or bedding? When you chop/shred hay is it grass hay ,alfalfa or both? Why the extra help? Paid in money or hay or cattles? Brian had his go time , no nonsense, hammer down mojo going. Probably ticked that he had to work on the 4th. It all appeared to go smooth, gotta love that! Congrats to Rob and the new bride! Celebrate Sonne style!
Andy and I rent this together. It is a bigger undertaking than we wanted to tackle ourselves so when we rented it three years ago I asked Andy to partner. They get after it like we do and it has worked well. When we grnd hay we usually mix a third or half alfalfa and they rest grass hay together. Grass is not used for bedding. We use corn stalks, oat straw, wheat straw, or soybean stubble for bedding. Thank you for recognizing that I dont always joke around. When we have a big job in front of us I take it seriously. Doesnt mean I not having fun I just recognize the importance of our duty.
We are just starting to farm our land after my wife's gramma rented it out for the last 25 years. I definitely have alot to learn. Would love to come out sometime and pick you and your dad's brain.
Great aerial footage, that was a great shot of the 2 balers ejecting at same time. The one where the baler unloading You could see the bale rolling on the rough spot that gave a idea how rough some areas are. How many bales do You need to be able to feed for a year? Another great video, I really enjoy watching the balding videos.
@@SonneFarms you entertain 1000s all the time and it's worth way more than that ! I hope you had fun at the wedding even if it was a small group. I don't suppose you brought home a piece of cake. Maybe a nice corner piece with lots of frosting ?
Great drone footage of the baling. On the John Deere tractor the Windrow seems like it spans between both front tires. It's gonna be a big job to load and transport all those bales.
I cannot get over the round bales. I remember all those summers at my grandparents farm bucking bales the little square ones, from the time you are able to lift them. Off the ground onto the trailer off the trailer on to conveyor up into the barn.
Hey again family Sonne! I was impressed by the fleet of machinery working together. Brian, would you say there was any discernible difference in bale quality between the John Deere baler and the Vermeer baler? We had a John Deere and then a New Holland and the densities seemed to be pretty similar. I had to laugh Cole when you kept bouncing over those bumps, I could feel your pain buddy, loving the new active seat too, is that a JD option or is it retro fitted? You really choose some great music to play over the drone footage parts, Id love to know where you find it and who plays it. I hope you guys are all having a ball at Rob and Sarah's wedding and the day has been fantastic.(I saw the cool insta pic Cole) Congratulations to you all and I am sure Brian and Tami are extremely proud parents. Good luck to all and stay safe. Dave.
I do for hire hay baling. The best i have ever done was on a wheat/red clover mix. It was raked with a 30’ V rake. I bale 4 x 5 roles and it took only 47 seconds from start to finish each bale running net wrap. I made good money that day. Field turned off almost 10 rolls per acre.
So satisfying watching hay being made. Got so caught up, forgot to pick up my mom who was herding our sheep flock to a pasture. Sorry mom but you knew Sonne Farms comes first.😂😂😂
Hi lad's that was a good day's work to get all that done, those birds looked really big wonder if they take lambs away. you said humanity instead of humidity btw, nice drone work looks very green there , anyway have a great day on Saturday and don't get to drunk. me dad used to say I married miss right , but didn't know her first name was always , cheer's

Best part was the drone shots with the great angles. Looks like the Deere baler was running a little harder and faster.

I greatly enjoy your videos, especially the drone views.
Another great video & love the drone footage!

Those are some nice 70 series New Holland's. Probably the best tractors ever made in my opinion. We have 2, an 8970 and an 8670
Good job and impressive set up
I find every day farming interesting 🤔 and even exciting so calming the music 🎶 and aerial shots. Good to see Sonne Sea 🌊 evaporating.
Would love to see another all-drone video sometime like the earliest ones you posted. I still rewatch those.

Was it family that was running the other rake and balers

Very nice video, thank you. Fifty years ago we called that steering ball a "skeleton ball", A long story
Do you do anything else with the bales to protect them from the weather?
Not stacking them helps if they gonna be around for quite a while.
Great drone footage! It sure is beautiful out there
Thanks 👍
I like how you use the word outfit to describe his operation like your in the mob Hay Mob lol
I thought they outlawed round bales?!? With the round bale the animals weren’t getting a square meal! Lol
😆 LOL
I love the drone
When I was very young I would call the bales of hay "airplane poop". Y'all are amazing.

What a huge hay operation.
Hey the hawk attacking the drone would make for good content lol 😂
How wide is that rake
What does a round bale sell for in your parts ? Thanks and thumbs up.
about 90 dollars a ton. More if its dairy quality alfalfa.
about $70/ton
