  • #Australian #Standard for the design of #fastenings - "AS 5216: Design of post-installed and cast-in fastenings in concrete" has been recently updated. The update includes the addition of:
    - Seismic design of fasteners
    - Post-installed reinforcing bar connections
    - Anchor channel loaded in all three loading directions and
    - Fasteners for redundant non-structural system
Australian Engineered Fasteners and Anchor Council (AEFAC) is organising a series of FREE online seminars to inform and educate engineers, builders, manufacturers/suppliers, and other building professionals about the recent changes in the standard, AS 5216:2021. The first seminar in the series was held on 11th of Oct 2021 covering “Seismic Design of Fasteners”.
This second seminar in the series will cover another major addition in AS 5216:2021 - “Post-installed reinforcing bar connections”. The design of fastenings for redundant non-structural systems will also be covered in the seminar.
