I was fortunate to have visited East Hastings and the area back in the mid-90s and it definitely was not like it is now. Now it looks like a skid row scene straight out of a GTA game. It's surreal and a travesty. A big black eye for Vancouver.
Because, once upon a time they kept their behaviour confined to indoors. The junkie crowd has changed. They don't care about anything or anyone, even kids.
@@TheUnknownVideographer They were indoors because it was illegal. Since then the woke inept politicians decriminalized drug use and setup shops giving out free needles to all addicts. Of course East Hastings turned into a shit hole, what did you expect?
What is happening is all because of the Federal government and Trudeau supplying FREE DRUGS AND NEEDLES! He feels it is better for them to die of overdose rather than supplying hospital beds for drug abuse and mental disease.
The kind of things you don't even see in ''poor third world countries''. The world will start collapsing by the ''wealthiest first world countries'' because people are collapsing from that excessive consummer lifestyle, is very sad to witness the psychological and emotional damage compulsive working and buying can do to humans. Stay strong, everybody.
that is a very nice sentiment and in some places the greed of the wealthy do make the working poor, live in old motor homes and sleep their cars, but this scene is mostly about substance abuse, fentanyl xylazine etc. very hard street drugs, its the addiction to these chemicals that make these people loose their jobs and homes and then choose to live this way in the streets, east hasting has been notorious for street people with addictions for decades....
It is better than before , at least cleaner and no Tent. I think it need to clean up the mess by remove Trudeau for free drugs and then David NDP for support hard drugs and only provide housing availability not affordable
We need more videos like this. This Democratic society seems to have the same pattern in different countries. Same human suffering! Politicians are responsible in exposing the corruption allowing this to grow, especially the open drug use in broad daylight?
Those aren't homeless people. Most of them live in rooming houses and prefer to spend the day out of doors; hanging with friends, buying drugs, or scrounging for anything not nailed down.
@@monada.kanada No, you won't see all those people on the street at night; they have places to stay. I live a short walk away from that mess, and walk through that neighbourhood regularly.
@@michaeldowson6988 They sleep there during the day and live at night. At night they go elsewhere to scavenge for food, collect recyclables... It's a typical lifestyle for homeless people.
I remember once the doctor prescribed me oxycodone 5mg. Christ, I loved this drug. I slept like a baby. When I finished this prescription I had a very hard time coming back to reality. But I knew that I couldn't continue taking this drug, I was getting hooked. I don't blame homeless people for taking a heavy opioid drug for getting a good sleep. They are hooked on this drug because they are also homeless and don't have a comfy bed like I do. So, the only way they can have a good rest is by taking these drugs. Many people will judge them, but aren't we all hooked on a certain drug somewhere? A majority of people eat junk food and fast food. This is a drug. Cancers are on the rise. Cardiovascular diseases like diabetes also. Lots of people die from heart attacks. All because we're eating processed foods that we wouldn't even give to a dog. Would you give coca cola to your pet? Don't judge these people because you're hooked too on processed food.

Thank you for your sharing this video my dear friend. Blessings 🇨🇦❤️👍🎉❤️❤️
do you show any videos about the recovery avaible and those warriors who clean up there?
That should be the government as they do nothing and it is their fault we have this mess
