Ray Liotta Thinks Clint Eastwood Is Overrated | #FBF | WWHL - Розваги
Ray Liotta just took over WWHL. He couldn't even name any of her songs and he was completely unapologetic about it. Legend.
And he gives zero twice if you didn't hear it the first time.
+VMonee81 yet he knew about Drake lol
VMonee81 there's nothing legend about him except he plays a good stoned guy.
Zero fucks.
He looks like me after a massive bender.
He's the best kind of guest, he will straight up answer without breaking a sweat, doesn't give a fuck.
Wenthony I love, his eyes
So true. They asked him about working with J. Lo. He said she was great just some of the J. Lo stuff I didn't like. When asked to clarify he said she was late alot.
That's the problem with people today they dont give a fuck .
The alcohol would've helped loosen his tongue.
Mad respect for Liota and his unfiltered unabashed honesty.

It's called "alcohol".
Fr lol. "I don't give a fuck"
It's nice to see an actor actually be honest.
I agree with the Clint Eastwood answer, do not like the way. he treated Sandra Locke
When you get a certain age you just tell the truth
@@helenlizzystewart4908 Yeah Sondra Locke was smitten with him but she really wasn't that great of an actress. Her lack of acting skills is ultimately what ended her career.
He lost his memory, wasn't being honest really, he definitely killed Loraine Bracco
i think when you get old at a certain point you just stop caring about dumb stuff your more honest

Ray. That face. Jesus, what a mob boss he would make. Who would try to mess with him? But really, it's all illusion. A really nice guy to meet.
@
A-TUT!!!!
I made the mistake of always thinking he was an Alec Baldwin type prick actor because of his looks and accent. After seeing some interviews and hearing stories about him it turns out he was the total opposite of that. A self depreciating, down to earth and appreciative dude that was never involved in controversy and had a brilliant sense of humour.
There is no way in hell Ray is not shit faced!
Karla Yea hes drunk as fuck, he remembers fuck all too , sure sign of an alkie
Or maybe a sign that he needs to drink to get through such a stupid interview.
ernie green preach!!! I was offended by that lol
I like BOTH, so it's a win/win for me.
Try watching any of his interviews. It's like watching an empty store. There is just nothing on the shelves and the lights are off.
Ray is an utter legend.

How many drinks did Ray have before this show I wonder, lol. His eyes are so bloodshot, he is not feeling any pain at all!
The rubbing of the face and lips with the eyes and the slowing of the voice points to opiates unfortunately. I could be wrong.
@@billbirchman362 I think he alternated drink and opiates. He would know that you can't take them both simultaneously (although that may be how he died) but I've seen interviews where he's sauced so he might be using different ones at different times of day.
@@Theomite This one stings. He was such a force on screen.
@@billbirchman362 Yeah, it just sucks that his range was limited. Even in FIELD OF DREAMS he has an unspoken menace in his striking blue eyes despite the character being completely benign.
But fuck, when he was in his element? Raw power. But maybe his substance issues and the shadow of GOODFELLAS kept his career from having the ups he needed.
Best line in this.

Clint Eastwood always plays the same character, but that doesn't make him overrated, he's a legend
one dimensional. exactly the same on Rawhide.
He plays himself
He's overrated period. Playing yourself is no genuis skill.
he's cited as saying he has two acting character forms in Westerns, brim up and brim down. he was still great; that unchanging quiet intensity defined those stoic characters.
He plays the same Leone character everytime. Just with more dialogue lol
Jennifer's reactions to his answers are the best
She's hotter than hell here.

Ray Liotta is a legend... for being in one iconic film.
Eastwood has made a career of being in, and often directing, too many iconic films to list here.
Is that one film "The Bee Movie"?
finwee no gta vice city
@Ryan Akwar glad, I'm not the only one who feels that, Ray is a legend
Ik Clint's a legend too,
but but ray was just being honest with his words
Everybody got opinions,
Y'all gotta respect that
yeah except goodfellas is probably the greatest American film ever made since the Godfather.
@Ryan Akwar thats right. clint is a great actor, but he certainly isnt de niro or brando. many of his characters he portrayed are legendary, but not necessarilly his acting. during the 80s and 90s, clint received only one acting nomination. the rest of his nominations are almost all about directing, except the best actor in a million dollar baby. thats as far as his acting goes. ray has numerous acting awards and nominations including a golden globe and an emmy; but weirly enough he didnt get any nomination for goodfellas. i would say they are equally good actors.
Ray: You're overrated actor.
Clint: Do you feel lucky? Well do you punk?
Clint Eastwood is NOT an actor.........he is an iconic legend! People don't watch Eastwood movies to see him "ACT" like ANYONE. They watch to see an EASTWOOD ACT!
EXACTLY
Could not have said it any better. He is the g.o.a.t. for sure
I love how unapologetically honest he is. Down to earth guy!
He wasn't wrong about Clint though. I really like Clint, he has directed some awesome movies, but as an actor, he is quite limited. I'm not dumping on him, I'm just saying.
Charles Bronson was better IMO
@@chadk890 Right and Burt Reynolds was also a much better actor than Clint.
@@chadk890 Glad you said that. Charlie never got the credit he deserved.
Actually, taken in the context of the question ("back in the 80's and 90's"), his answer is only partially true; Starting in the 90's, Eastwood took on roles that were less caricature and he exceeded expectations: His performances in "White Hunter Black Heart," "The Unforgiven" (of course), "In the Line of Fire" (with John Malkovich), "A Perfect World" (with Kevin Costner), "The Bridges of Madison County" (with Meryl Streep) stand out. Moreover, I realize that Ray Liotta was placed on the spot, but I guess some of the biggest box office draws of the 1980s were comedic and action stars that already had low ratings as actors (Stallone, Schwartznegger, Murphy, Guttenberg).
yeah, but Clint was'nt a highly rated actor to begin with....everyone knows he's got no chops...
This was fun to watch, REST EASY MR. RAY LIOTTA🙏🦋
Clint Eastwood is NOT overrated!
Gavin Masterson We're dealing with the "internet" here. A cesspool of idiocy and judgmental know-it-alls.
I couldn't agree more.
He's talking about as an actor, not director
It was a specific question in time (80's-90's) and job (actor, not director). It's just his opinion, no big deal. I happen to agree with him. When I grew up he was in movies like Any Which Way you Can and The Dead Pool and others. He, along with Burt Reynolds, was the big leading male movie stars. He was overrated as an actor. Much better director than actor.
No........hes wonderful as both and Ray wishes he could say it too his face but clint would sneeze and he would explode

Clint, "Who's Ray Liotta?"
While Clint is cool as fuck he isn't a good actor. Same with Keanu Reeves. Entertaining to watch but plays the same character in every movie and has zero range. Ray makes a fair point saying Clint is overrated. It's not like he said the Dollars films and the Dirty Harry films aren't an absolute blast to watch.
Ray is SO freakin' awesome! love him!
As an actor Clint Eastwood plays one character. Clint Eastwood. Atleast there's a difference between Ray Liotta in Goodfellas and Ray Liotta in Unlawful Entry. Clint Eastwood is more just charisma than actual acting, like a cartoon-levels of indictating for children.
Plus the shady politicians/his supposed outta this world cream of the crop royal treatment status that kept him 4ever worshipped by hollyweiird, his wexner les ol' buddy😉 ol' pal affiliations- uh yeah. I just can't w him and his cronies anymore, it saddens me so much to have to handle every now and again. But the best baloney life worth living affirmations that truly helps me is the blah blah ..." BAD THINGS R GNA HAPPEN & THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. 🙃
Clint might have had a bigger career and lived longer, but he's the most 'wooden' actor ever! Exactly the same in every movie. He was always just Clint. Ray streets ahead of him! RIP.
@@joandonnelly9187 Ray is an incredible overrated actor, which acted in a one iconic movie, maybe 2 or 3 good more, his presence is "not one of a kind" and a pretty one dimensional...
And acting is always about presence and likability of a face and a figure, like about 80-90% actors (more or less) are same in every other role...only how they "acted" differently is because of costimography, makeup and styling, and in some rare case is about gaining or losing weight, or wow (learning new dialect)....and from that perspective that's not acting, that's a just magic of a production team... because every man or woman has same emotions and "face bones", and what you saw in a 2, 3 movie by a one actor, you saw in every other movie from them... it's almost always just about a personality and a screen presence, and just a little bit about commitment and a character they played...ofcourse every actor has their own style and will for a commitment (and every job demands some commitment, even in a some basic romantic or a action film), but it's actually always in a hand ("mind") of a script, director and production, they running the world.
Hilarious! Ray Liotta was an awesome sport. Jennifer always brings the vibes. Sigourney and Clint are probably laughing too 😂

Well said John I’ve seen loads of Clint Eastwood movies and loved them all I’ve only ever seen ray in goodfellas which is an amazing movie but I don’t know any other movies of his or I can’t remember them rip ray
Oh please, you don't know the difference between an actor and a movie star. He's ok, he's not a "great actor", he's extremely limited. The fact that you found him "entertaining" has nothing to do with it. Even Clint says he's got two acting moves: visor up, visor down.

Jennifer is so sweet and normal. Compare her to Mariah Carey and Carey is scary! Mariah is so mean and arrogant. I was so surprised watching Jennifer at how real, sweet, honest, and down to earth she is.
Mariah is shady cause she needs attention.
Leslie Ann Taylor-Bjarnson Mariah has every reason to be defensive, especially against Jennifer since she did help Mariah's ex sabatoge her upcoming album and took credit for Mariah's hard work. Then Jennifer plays the victim as if she has no idea why mariah doesn't care to know her. It may be years since this happened but Jennifer should address it like a grown "Professional" woman that she claims to be and maybe Mariah would respect her.
Leslie Ann Taylor-Bjarnson I love them both but I have heard some not so nice things about both of them JLO may be different now, but she definitely has had her diva moments as well.
I'm a Mariah fan but I'd probably have to agree with you on her attitude.
how old are you, girl?

Well, he's right in some ways about Clint Eastwood - I mean the guy's got 2 ranges of emotion. Pissed and real pissed.
Clint Eastwood's overrated? That's funny coming from someone who had one hit film to working on Muppets from Space
He is just salty, in 1996 Hollywood Reporter wrote an article about him and they basically said he is not a tough guy and couldnt hold his own in real life like stallone, arnold and eastwood could lol

I like Ray Liotta and his movies but he seriously just insulted himself by saying Clint was over rated considered he's got noting on Clint. Clint Eastwood is one of the best actors Hollywood has ever had. He's the definition of a real man. Just like Charles Bronson, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, Sean Connery Etc
I remember watching his flicks and just not able to make it through the whole movie. I don't know, Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford could just sell the almost/mostly unbelievable scenes better and there seemed to be a lot of lull in Clint Eastwood movies.
John J. Rambo I was hoping he’d say John Cusack or Andrew McCarthy...not Eastwood.
you should have begun your list with Clark Gable.
Clint Eastwood over-rated in the 80's and 90's? If anything he was under-rated!

FINALLY someone says it!!!
Burt Reynolds tells the story:
"Clint Eastwood and I were fired on the same day. "They told him his Adam's apple stuck out too far, he talked too slow and he had to get that chipped tooth fixed. I then said 'why are you firing me?' and they said 'you can't act!'"
Burt, who was told to change his name from Buddy during his first audition, continued: "So we were walking to his truck and I said 'you're in a hell of a lot of trouble'… I said 'I'll eventually learn to act. You'll never get rid of that Adam's apple'."
