Great info as usual! My advice for anyone who is struggling with content is to make sure that you're creating content you actually enjoy making. That way you don't dread the process every time you have to setup a tripod and start recording. Some days will be better than others, but you're only as good as your last time at bat so keep on showing up and the results will start to manifest itself over time

thats right!!! dont be too hard on yourself. you wanna start building up the habit of just posting regularly. you can start to polish things up as you go along. best part is you already identified the issue and whats holding you back. you got this
Thank you for this encouragement. I have so much content in my roll and I talk myself out of posting everyday. One of the reasons (excuses) I use is, ‘I haven’t posted in a while and I don’t have many followers anyway’. If I just start posting, I feel like people will ask, ‘why is she all of a sudden posting, a lot of content?’
My business has rebranded as a custom gift shop (ran from my home for now). I also use the excuse that I still have to get my products listed on my website before I can make a post of the item I made.
Talking myself out of posting is so much easier , but I truly desire to grow my business. There is a whole dream behind it.
I can honestly say this is just what I really needed to hear !!! Best advice for me and right on time!!! Appreciate you for pointing this out, this is me, getting in my own way.

When I'm around my VW bus (business), I am in the moment, I'm not thinking to get my camera out to hit record for social media content. I'm more comfy taking & posting photos, but I know people want to see rather reels and videos. You're right, it's excuses; I need to get out and do it. Thank you for this video!

Thing that's discouraging is the algorithm. Many of us get low views because of it.
the algorithm shouldnt stop you from posting. if the content is good and informative, it'll reach the correct end user. consistency is the one thing EVERYBODY has in common when it comes to using social media.

I've talked about and wanted to advertise a print service to local businesses for years now. In that time I have designed and sold my own designs online, but not a service. I am SO frustrated that I do not know how to 'do it'...to 'get out there'....to become known..................It REALLY ticks me off because the alternative is some other shitty job I will despise getting up to go to. I am beyond stuck. I don't have anything to show on an Instagram or a facebook or a website landing page (which I have set up) because I have not printed any jobs for anybody else other than to sell myself. Random car designs arent much use and will add confusion if thats all I have printed. No variety.
I watched this video and listened to every word, like I have watched many of your videos for years, but I feel I have nothing to advertise or promote because I have no track record as a service provoder, plus nobody has a clue who I am or what I can do. I even designed some flyers, had them printed and don't know what to do with them. They are sitting here in a box. I'm scared I will never be able to get this idea off the ground and make something for myself. I am way beyond disgruntled at the job market in my area and that is motivation to work for myself, but how? I feel huge pressure to make this work or settle for being miserable in a dead end job forever.
It ain’t too late message some old friends from high school maybe? Let them know what you do and let them know to ask anyone they know if they need shirts . That’s how I got back in the game
make shirts for yourself. record yourself making those shirts and start using that to promote. its all about building good habits. get in the routine of recording and posting. thats all it is.

I wish I was more confident. Pricing, social media (mean people) and messing up. I am my worst critic. After seeing your video I need to try harder.
I know it’s not easy to put yourself out there but if you think about it, we’re all living life and you only have this one life you’re living to accomplish all that you truly want to do. You won’t know how things will go until you try, what’s the actual harm in trying? Trust me, it’s much better than nothing y’know? And if it is scary, just take it step by step, day by day, you got this!
confidence in this business is a major key. but we all dont start out confident. we start out with an idea, a dream and a little ambition. confidence is built over time. mastering our craft, getting comfortable with what we're doing and blocking out all outside voices and opinions. being a business owner means you are one of the few to actually take the risk of going for it. most dont even get this far. most stop at just the idea but are too scared to actually bring that dream to life. so you already got the upper hand on thousands of other people who are too scared to do what your doing. dont worry about anybody else or what they have to say you do what you feel is right for your business. remember this is YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Ya unique content is a trap. If content is unique enough, the algo won't serve it.
Everybody has gone down at least 1 UA-cam algo rabbit hole. You just have to go to the rabbit hole you want to be in and make content for it. Make that rabbit hole 1 inch deeper and that's your inch.
