I don't use water when I make my Kool-Aid pie. I use sweetened condensed milk. I mix any flavor Jell-O and the condensed milk together then whip Philadelphia cream cheese in a different bowl . Then I fold in Cool whip into Philadelphia cream cheese bowl. 😊 I blend both mixtures together then garnish with fruit if you want it. I thaw my fruit so it's not so watery or use fresh . I use most of the time I use store-bought crust unless I make a graham cracker crust. One package of graham crushed crackers, two tablespoons of sugar and 1/4 cup of melted butter.

I’ve made gram cracker crust, when I make cheese cakes. You can make the crust for most pies. You can use different cookies, etc.

I did this a little different. I added true lemon crystal packs to the cream cheese and 1/4 of sugar. I used berry blue Kool aid and when the cream cheese cool whip mixture was done I set aside and worked on my Kool aid added blueberries let it cool then poured in some of the jello into the cream cheese mixture. So it would be blue. Then scooped the blueberries on top. I put mine scattered around the whole pie so every bite has blueberries. Thank you the idea. 😊

That's a good thought, and I personally would prefer it to jiggly, chewy, slippery Jello.
I think part of the issue with these overflowing pies is, it looks like she used the usual water in the Jello directions as well as having the juice and any ice from the blueberries and its bag. Most pies that use Jello decrease the water.

I am thinking it might do just as well to prepare the 'whipping cream/creamcheese' part 1st ..Then, preparing the Jello/fruit, do this: in prepared graham-cracker or vanilla wafer pie crusts, add lesser layer of WC-CC in each shell and next, begin by adding the liquid first, then some fruit....After adding the next WC-CC layer on top of that, , repeat liquid first then fruit.
If any WC-CC &/or fruit left, center remainder liquid, fruit & WC-CC in middle of each pie. Once set, for those that like finely chopped fresh mint, take a couple of wafers or graham ceacker sections and add those, along w/ mint, to slices.
    Hope that made sense!

IF, if you learned in the south..you forgot to soft-set the blueberry mixture before blending into the pie. Or they would have poured in the bottom..let set and then put the whipped on to with fresh blueberries. Any gelatin, with sugar could be used instead of the ones with excess food coloring. Cold set pies are wonderful for summer. Lots of old school used cool whip and jello. (Owned by same company) big surprise lol.
