Have you seen it? The front yard of the Mendez house at 2022 Rosecrans Street is like nothing else in San Diego. It’s a sculpture garden made entirely of sea shells! Who built it? Where did they all come from?

Thank you for documenting this local San Diego history. I just heard the house is being demolished today. I've driven by countless times. It catches the attention of anyone, is a landmark and so interesting. Will miss it, even more so now that I know the history behind it.
