Bro you're not beating Caitlin clark lmao maybe some of the lower level college women players maybe but Caitlin Clark is in incredible shape and would absolutely out stamina you and if you think you could beat her without her getting the ball at least once then you're wrong. This is a crazy take man but I still love you but this vid might have to go into the archive like idc about any other thing you said but that is just straight up disrespectful and definitely rooted in misogyny to say that you would beat Caitlin Clark 😂😂😂

I undertand the point you’re making, but when you’re talking about sexism and a sensitive topic like this wording is very very important. I think the main reason people are misinterpreting what you’re saying is because it sounds very very arrogant and stuck up, if you had come off more respectable with it people would not be as disappointed and annoyed as they are. Wording is extremely important in sensitive topics like these. Not saying you are arrogant and stuck up, but one wrong word or statement and people will completely misinterpret what you say and you end up with a comment section like you have now

That's a really weird thing to "lose admiration" for somebody over lol...bc he doesn't think watching women's sports is fun? How tender are you? People like you (and unfortunately there is a sickening amount of them) need to learn that the world doesn't revolve around making YOU happy. YOU need to adjust to the world. And believe it or not, there are people that don't like the same things that you like. Just because YOU like it, doesn't mean everybody needs to cater to your feelings and make you feel supported and validated. People are different. And if someone saying they didn't think women's sports was fun was enough to throw you, you've got some growing up to do

It is extremely plausible, respectfully; the skill-gap between men and women's sports is immense, this goes double for physically intense sports like basketball, hockey, football, soccer. Alex is an above average male basketball player and could certainly compete with Caitlin Clark considering her height and weight. This is not sexism, if you believe it is I'm sorry to have to point out that you are uneducated and I'm inclined to say: please don't lash out at people for having spent more time studying topics to reach a different conclusion than you have. Respectfully, as an avid women's sports fan.. this has got to be one of your worst takes. I would love to see an "average" man or woman do what Serena Williams did for as long as she did it, the same thing with Alex Morgan and her longevity in soccer. Professional women athletes are professional for a reason.
We have had the best of the best in the USWNT, same with the USA women's basketball teams - on international stages they are the best of the best.
Women have been doing wild fast break dunks, BG has been slamming down on people for YEARS - you just haven't been watching and that seems a bit more like a you problem.

Today was a day that I was really sad, I've been following you for 4 years and I never imagined I would see such a retrograde video on your channel. It's a good thing that in my country, where we are big soccer fans, the fans are not just excited because they think the players are the best in the world, but because of their passion for the team. Denying that sexism does not exist in the world of sports and still giving a lame excuse like that is shameful.

Sexism does exist in the world of sports but many women players complain that it’s sexist that they don’t get the same amount as male players but they don’t bring as much money to the company as male players, it’s unfortunate but they don’t dominate like male players and the WNBA makes the NBA lose profit so it’s not fair to claim it’s sexist for players to not get the same pay as men. They don’t attract the same amount of viewers because unfortunately nobody wants to see them play.

The perspective that is missing here is the fact that sexism in sports is deeply rooted. The first ever NCAA women’s basketball championship was not held until 1982 and the WNBA was not started until 1992 (I believe). Meanwhile the NBA was formed in 1949. That’s a 40 year gap. You’re forgetting that women were allowed to play sports at all, let alone at a competitive level, for a significant amount of time. There aren’t as many fans, coverage, money, coverage, etc., because women weren’t allowed to play let alone were resources put into their programs. Overall disappointing, lackluster take.

Oh man, I'm about to write a novel! lol. Look, I love you man, still love you after today too. I donated to your success once upon a time like 4 years ago. I too get enraged by missed layups and simple 2ft put backs (TIP DRILL). The women's game can feel disorganized and sloppy, its why I prefer to watch men's basketball - so yes, I do agree that it is level of play and not sexism holding them down in basketball. I support women's sports in general because I feel we have a place at the table in all things, but the level of play is anatomically not comparable. Women are built different (ex. we have 75% less muscle mass in our chest than men do, anatomically). I'm confident you will gain more self awareness as you age and become a parent. But this is an opportunity to grow from. I really want you to reflect on why you stated after praising her the whole video and defending women's sports and our place in sports (thank you btw), why after all that, that you felt you needed to assert your dominance over her in the same breath? I don't need a reply and I'm a fan for life, and if my brother says something stupid I name it and move on =), but we are all here to learn and grow and this could be a moment for you to learn from. LOVE YOU MAN! Peace brother. - Tracy

A 12 y/o regardless of gender could beat me in basketball and that was before I got sick limiting my mobility. I'm just not athletic and the closest I got to that was as a child in martial arts. I don’t have to completely agree with you to appreciate your ASMR. Women’s and men’s sports are different stylistically because of biological differences. I do find both to be entertaining and believe both offer quality entertainment. Women’s soccer in particular has taken off in a big way. The women’s teams in Europe are selling out arenas and the US is no longer the only national powerhouse. I am less sold on women’s basketball, but the jury is out after this tournament since it is the first to be given equal air time and promotion as the men’s.

Clark is boring. Good for her on being one of the best in her league. But the league itself, is boring. There is nothing out of the ordinary with Clark. if you play basketball, and truly play, and you’re a grown adult, you are not losing to Caitlin Clark. It may sound sexist, but girls/women just cannot play basketball like a fully grown adult male above the height of her. All she can do is shoot the ball. All of her drives and everything are mediocre. If a male were to do what she does, he would be considered mediocre. I think people are just super biased because she is the best player in her boring league. She’s everything to them. So they defend her with everything and make crazy claims, like she can beat nba talent, and even over seas talent.

I’m a man. I don’t care about women’s sports. I’m not awed or inspired by women athletes. Sorry. I had a chance to research about what makes people become fans of things in college, and one thing that’s crucial is that the fan has to be be able to imagine-in some way-that the person they’re a fan of is somehow like “them” in some admirable way. This requirement was actually stronger for men than for women, and especially impacted sports viewers. So it’s kind of a perfect storm against women’s sports in terms of attracting male fans: not only are they clearly not as fast, dynamic, dominant as the male athletes, but it’s also harder for a man to see HIMself or someone HE wants to be in the women on the court. God bless Clark and everything she’s doing and good luck to her…but I’m just not interested like I am with male athletes. It is what it is.

If the product was as good as the NBA, people would watch ->profit->higher salaries. I love women’s sports, regularly watch women’s swimming and tennis, but the WNBA just isn’t as good to watch as the NBA so the salaries reflect that. It’s unfortunate but true
