Fortune opened for David Spade when my hubby and I went to Vegas back in July 2021 and she had everyone just rolling laughing. Very talented comedian. Hilarious and relatable. Fortune is what the world needs right now. We’re fans for life! 😻🙌🏼

If I was to judge a book by its cover, I'd be really put off just on her entrance. But I forced myself to watch the whole clip, and... pleasantly surprised. Southern Accents usually make me think OMG "MAGA supporter".
Now here's the question though. She's promoting her tour - throughout the South, by the sound of the itinerary she reeled off. So: how many people who live in those cities are Kimmel fans, I wonder?

We’d have people ask to use our phone and my mother would let them. Sometimes give them coffee too and coffee cake. We always had coffee cake on hand.
My town was so small (about 900 people) that my parents once told me that I was related to everyone who lived on this certain street and that I could, at any time, knock on the door and ask to use the bathroom.
And I did.
Still not sure who those people were..🤷🏼♀️

Back in the day, I remember people stopping to ask to use our phone but now l wonder...they'd often use the bathroom because, as the only girl, that somehow landed on me to show the way, as mom got the coffee started.
We also had a large blanket of low multi-colored phlox's blanketing the ground at the corner - ooh, two streets, that's probably where all the traffic came from, and they'd ask if they could dig a clump or three up. They had been growing for as long as the 100-year-old house had stood, so...more coffee and bathroom tours. I never quite considered how odd it kinda was but l can't blame it on Southern hospitality, this was in Massachusetts. ☮

I lived down there for a couple years- everybody waved all friendly like up and down the road, but when I got locked out of my house by accident - not one neighbor answered the door, not a single one would open their door and help.
Our next door neighbor’s horse got loose onto our land, and I calmed that horse down and led him up the road, and nobody there let me help that horse home.
