what a cool episode and how cool to see more of furls „behind the scenes“. i love furls, im using their odyssey’s and since i got my set of those in the beginning of this year i will never look back. they are soooo worth it :)
Was so happy I found vicki Howell because I used to watch her old show knitty gritty and she has taught me so much I was elated to find her on you tube. Listen and learn is my way to learn.
A knitter, a fan of Vickie's for years, and now as I learn that Annie Modesit comes from a theatre background, I know more than ever these are my people. Former stage manager, director and sometime costume designer, now photographer and long time knitter. I am home here.
Loved all the crochet in this episode! I really must treat myself to a Furls crochet hook. Was great to see Kristen Omdahl in your show. She's a wonderful designer and those crochet foundation ovals are totally new to me. I'll be trying them out for sure!
Big fan of the Knit Show! Loved those crochet hooks. Also loved that lovely neck piece your guest was wearing who taught the cover up piece. I have yet to tackle lace but this gives inspiration. Also, never blocked before because I never understood it till this show. Nice blocking tools from Knitters Pride. The Knit Show has added a whole lot of projects to my list!
Thank you! Here is the link to the free pattern for the coral shawl I was wearing around my neck: www.kristinomdahl.com/whats-new/2016/10/18/key-west-coral-crochet-lace-shawl-free-pattern?rq=key%20west
Love that you have both knit and crochet. I am a crochet'er. Love Kristin Omdahl. It was challenging to see the stitches today. The yarn was the same color tone as the wood beneath, and the camera was far away, thus impossible to really see detail. For visual learners like me it was a tad frustrating.
We should've used a different color yarn, it's true. We didn't know what color the table would be when we started the process. That said, this show was shot in 4k -- the highest resolution possible, so it can be zoomed in on or watched on a large TV screen without losing quality. Hopefully one of those solutions will alleviate your frustration. :-)
We shot in 4k so that people can zoom in as close as necessary without loss of resolution. It also helps if you watch the show on a TV versus a mobile device. HTH!
Hi, Love your video on crocheting that gorgeous lace vest. This is my 1st time seeing your videos, I was wondering where I might obtain the pattern for that Gorgeous Crochet Vest that she was demonstrating how to crochet. 💖 I would love to try and make one! 💖
By nagging her about if boys were learning knitting, too, I felt like you were harassing the woman who said she learned to knit in gym class. Back in the day, in Texas especially (which you should know if you're a Texan), there were pretty clear roles for girls and boys. Girls did the knitting, sewing, cooking, etc. and boys did woodworking and auto mechanics. It was no big deal, so why put today's social norms on yesterday's actions? It seemed like you were shaming her a bit when you said "we need to talk about that after the show." My husband looked at me and just shook his head. Normally, you're pretty cool to your guests, but that was a little out of line.
LOVE Furls Crochet hooks! Simply the BEST

Love all your guests!! Amazing!! It would be nice if the camera could be closer when demonstrating stitches. It’s very hard to see. 💜

Moro no Brasil, estou aprendendo tricô; amei esses suportes para novelos! Como posso comprá-los??
Lindo programa!!😍
The hooks remind me of chess pieces, very classy :)
He is so young to be already a business man.
What is Monica using as a holder for all her yarn cakes? Where can I find one?
Hi, do you have a link to Monica from the knit hive's Twitch?
Oh man, we don't. Sorry!
How cute is this hook guy?
So, the VDD is actually decreasing 2 stitches at a time?
Yes!
The vest is not opening 🤔
Hmmm, working for me. Try this link: theknitshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/FAN-tastical-Crochet-Vest.pdf
