Both songs have their time,( mood) and place I think. No need to discredit Kygo, he loved and felt this song as much as we did. Glad there are 2 different beautiful songs to listen to. This take makes it sound a little bit happier, and epic. I would not say he ruined the song though.
i don't know what it is about this song, but it just refreshes me. pulls all the stress off my shoulders. it is a reminder that through the bad days, i can make something good of it each and every single day. therefore, i listen to it everyday. and when i go to sleep, i close my eyes with a smile and my heart jumping with joy.

Reminds me of her, her angelic eyes, her tender touch, her warm breath brushing my face, her smile that could brighten up any black heart. I did some mistakes, I didn't appreciate her, I was a fool and I lost her. Till this day I regret for that time. But I got a miracle second chance and this time I could show myself, the real me, be truthful with her, respect her, love her, be the man she deserves. I don't want to make the same mistakes I once did. And now she sees that I wasn't false, that my emotions were indeed true, I was just stupid. Its only sad that someone else stole her heart. Literally woke up to this song for a year straight. And I don't mean it was my alarm. I mean I laid there and pulled this up and some days it got me out of bed dancing at the first chorus and some days I listened to it several times over before I was in a waking headspace.
