  • Pencak Silat Body Conditioning and Esoteric teachings Online Course. Enroll here: themartialman....
In this course, you will be introduced to some of the basics of the Satria Fighting Arts, which includes aspects of SFA Conditioning to help develop and prepare the body for some of the motion and movements of the SFA-enabling you to better understand and embody the movements for functionality when applying techniques and applications for self-defense. This course includes six conditioning lessons (out of 40 classes of a complete SFA Conditioning Course), two videos from our SFA seminars aimed to help you to see and sense the correlation of the postures, the motion and movement of the SFA, and how to apply them in basic self-defense. These conditioning lessons will also help you develop an excellent foundational ‘strength’ base, no matter what martial art or sports discipline you do. In addition, you will learn how to train on the ground using your own body weight and working with natural body mechanics, a fundamental principle in the SFA.
Also included in this course is an introduction to the Esoterics. This course consists of the first four lessons of our Kejawen Esoteric Course. The esoteric aspect of the SFA is a massive part as it carries the “soul” of the art, providing the practitioner a deeper understanding of Numerology, Life, and Nature works, and they apply in our lives; knowing the difference between the true ‘Self’ and the false ‘self’ and how Karma works; understanding times and seasons, the Universal Laws and understanding how to work with them, etc. These lessons will provide you with a good understanding of life and how energies work, which you can immediately apply in your life. In addition, you will receive practical lessons to work with, enabling you to activate a more empowering life. Finally, you will learn the principles of living a fruitful, peaceful, and harmonious lifestyle.
    What you’ll learn:
    • Pencak Silat body conditioning.
    • Pencak Silat striking methods.
    • Pencak Silat ground fighting.

Very nice , it's refreshing to see actual killing arts , however I don't really recommend getting that close to opponents in the street
Id have plugged you with my side arm or sliced you to pieces with one of the 2 knives I conceal.
I train students in Silat , Slavic Boxing , Judo, Jeet Kune Do , Muay Thai , LINE , UCMAP and Zhang San Feng Sword. No Jujitsu really although we teach some BJJ but it's not recommended to get that close with bare hands
We train to bite noses off lol
    I love this

Beladiri yg diciptakan untuk yg posturnya seperti orang Indonesia, langkah kaki yg kecil dan sikap tangan yg rapat, membantu gerakan menjadi lincah, gerakan seolah menghindar tapi mengandung serangan mematika, sejalan dengan budaya dan adat istiadat Indonesia

good point though, islanders are mostly rather compact- so agility is inherent, this not be really working for regular caucasian blocks of 200+ pounds

No offense but when I see this I say everything works if one person doesn't move...........

Hi, I guess it's simply a demonstration of the application of the art, thus a flowing artistic representation. The experimental trained eye can evaluate what is and isn't practical for himself. If they showed a demonstration of a reluctant participant, then it would be a video of match fights, which would make it ugly for the purpose intended here.

@@liang3102 I understand but all my training for many years has been two man training ,where the other person is allowed to go free. When I first started training over 37 years ago my first instructor would do this type of training. When people started to move freely there were many discontinuities in the movements. If someone stands and waits there energy is not realistic and you could literally use a dummy and get almost the same effect.

@@tidemover well sparring is an essential part of practical martial art training, which In my experience is separate to the initial demonstration and learning of application. Learn the application well and then incorporate it into sparring (even if a safer version) against an unwilling opponent.

@@liang3102 What if your actual responses were based on the persons energy . If you master the internal connections and maintain them than your responds would always be correct. Instead of learning applications. Therefore the training in general would be different. But the training is practical based on theory and not just theoretical concepts. You could train things on your own but when you interact with someone its more real life. Increasing your understanding. So the training isn't based on techniques and you would only use them to understand the connections than throw them away. Similar but not the same as bruce lee's theories. So in the end I guess we just train different .

@@tidemover I see the initial application of the art as a type of map to train you you move in a certain scientific way. With internal arts such as Tai Chi you break in down into 5 aspects, one of these being push hands, where indeed you respond to a training partners energy, you learn to change and flow with what is given to you and develop a response. This is then taken into sparring and tested against a non corporative opponent. The initial applications are then used naturally and at the correct time, or you know when to change accordingly. Forms and drills give you the system, a map to reach a certain destination. It becomes natural and your own and suits your knowledge, physical ability, experience and body type.

Kshatriya, not Satria. Also that makes no sense from an Indian perspective. It's akin to saying warrior fighting arts, well which warriors? Every subcontinental region and jati had fighting arts...very weird. Also, almost all of our arts are primarily weapons based btw.

Hi, when the weapon was lost in combat, didn't they have close quarters empty hand techniques to continue the fighting scenario?

Bruh, in Indonesia it is Kesatria or Satria, also Silat is not from India for godness sake. Yes we have connection with Indian martial arts but like Shaolin Kungfu which is from China (but have connection with Indian martial arts) so does Silat is from Indonesia
