Definitely a great tool, Don, thanks! I've been using my iPhone connected FLIR for thermals. I bought it when iPhone had a lightning connector. I had to get an Apple adapter to use it with my USB-C connection (on the newer iPhones) to the lightning connection on the FLIR. Even so, this is an awesome tool to have handy!
I would like to find one that would help me locate the radiant heat water lines in my building floor. One of the guys from the local volunteer fire department tried but he did not know how to adjust sensitivity.
If you know the temperature range your looking for you can adjust the range to focus on higher or lower values. In-floor heating would likely be in the lower range setting on this device.
